Finally making a post-Youmacon post! This past weekend was the best Youmacon experience and honestly one of the best overall convention experiences I’ve ever had. I spent the entire weekend as Percy and got to see amazing friends and be a part of their Vox Machina squad! They all made the weekend absolutely incredible and I’m so happy to have gotten to spend so much time with them. I miss them already and want to see everyone again soon! Percy turned out better than I expected and I was so in awe of how kind the other critters at the con were.

I’ve been working on this costume off and on for almost a year now. The bulk was made for Anime USA back in October last year, but since I’ve remade entire parts, for both Katsucon and Animazement, and I’m about to remake more! One of these days I’ll actually be satisfied. Alas. Sword boys are pretty but not practical for fighting bad guys. SLEEVES ARE SO CUMBERSOME. But I love this fussy peacock, so much. I just hope to do him justice.

I got into Steven Universe late – and I got into it because I saw gifs of this scene. So as soon as we decided to cosplay these two, I knew I wanted to honor “The Answer” somehow.

I am still floored that I placed second in the TFCon Chicago costume contest. I enetred for fun, not expecting to win anything at all. I just wanted to show of fmy costume and yell at people. Unfortunately, I didn’t get any pics from this weekend so have this one from DragonCon, complete with fusion cannon. Also featuring my little sister as Starscream.

Big shout out to @thornprick for the jackets! All other pieces, including overcoat, props, accessories (aside from corset) for both costumes made by me.

A glooming peace this morning with it brings.

Chitaru and Hitsugi are two of my favorite characters (and couples!), ever. The Akuma no Riddle anime came out three years ago and I never thought the fast paced and tragic thriller story would grab me so much.
