Went gallivanting in my new mini cooper sport as it’s been sat on my driveway and I needed to blow away some cobwebs.
Cool iron age double-banked hill fort. Amazing that people lived here around 1000 - 2000 years ago.
Watching the eerie mist engulfing the settlement and surrounding forest. Great ro get into nature again and walk amongst the trees and along the wye valley trail

He’d come out of nowhere.
Walking in out of the rain like Mr fucking Darcy. She wouldn’t be surprised if he knew how to gallivant. In fact, she was sure of it. She imagined him doing it with a stern, stoic focus as he romped across the countryside. Perhaps she wasn’t entirely sure what gallivanting meant. But it fit.
Either way, he’d wandered into her life as if he had a purpose, and she’d been taken more than a little by surprise. There was something about how effortless this all seemed to him, and how utterly easy it was for him to floor her, even if she tried her best not to let him know. She wasn’t used to it, and that was what mattered, at least at the moment.
As submissive as she was, she was used to being in control. It wasn’t hard when you were confident and attractive, and she had a fair helping of intelligence to back it up. A killer combination, so long as you were talking about it being applied to anyone without the kind of confidence that washed off him in waves. They’d fallen before her like wheat before the scythe, and as unsatisfying as it was, it was something to get used to.
But not him. No, never him.
He’d just smile that smile, arch that eyebrow and chuckle a little. He’d grab her by the throat, and whisper the most depraved, deviant, terrifying and powerfully arousing words she could ever hope to conceive into her ear. She could physically feel the power draining from her, leeched into him in a way that was borderline vampyric.
The thing she wouldn’t dare admit to herself, that made her chew on her lip and squeeze herself, forced her thoughts to run over and over in her mind, was that she had never felt so alive, and so satisfied.
