Here is a sneak peak into my Infinity collection inspired by Chromatin Loops, which are structures found inside Chromosomes.
Transferring new patterns and ideas with traditional weaving techniques was challenging but exhilarating.

Since an extension for my new book has been given, a traditional three-day weaving workshop will be taking place here at the studio this November. 

The dates are:

Thursday 11th / 8:30 am - 1:30 pm

Friday 12th / 8:30 am - 1:30 pm

Saturday 13th / 8:30 am -1:30 pm

The cost is €180 (€80 to be payed upfront to secure a place).

Here is Theano from Phyti weaving an intricate ploumi. We won’t be learning this particular one but the ‘kamaroua’ (little arch) and ‘mostres’ (stripes) preceding it on Theanos loom shall be covered!

Its pattern revolves around the triangle, a shape with strong philosophical connotations, which creates harmonious visual effects. 

Hand-weaving entails a soothing repetitiveness, an antidote for the blasts of everyday life.
