Instead, the door swings into the tiled wall with a thud that resounds in his chest and the two of you just stare at each other, suspended in time like stars fixed in the hold of the universe. His heart twists itself into a strange knot when you tilt your head, hands fumbling back onto the sink to steady yourself. You’re clearly as drunk as him—maybe even more—and Jeongguk can’t help the way he tips forward, a hand outstretched to help you up.
waah finally got the time to catch up and see what these two have been up to. OC remains an interesting and memorable character to me with (who can forget her jumping out of the window moment?). I love how the journey of OC’s sexual discovery coincides with Jungkook’s journey of emotional attachment too. The pining and confusion from Jungkook felt so real I almost feel bad for him. Not him listing of things he noticed about her, even her recent fascination with nail art lol. The chapter felt tense and exciting at the same time - just the right amount of slow burn that keeps me wanting and excited for more.
Every time he gloats over you, you just want to punch him in the face to shut him up. With your fist or maybe with your mouth. You still aren’t quite sure which one to use yet. Possibly both.

Despite already downing the largest cup he could order from the shop, he no longer felt the effects of the extra shots of expresso and was forced to drink the watered-down version offered at his workplace. With more caffeine than actual rivulets of carmine running through his veins, Yoongi practically fuels his sleep deprived body with lethal doses of the stale and caustic coffee provided at the Bangtan Police Station.
The crisp sheets of paper from the latest case file he is examining are spread out across his desk in somewhat of a disarray, the original order he had put it in four hours ago now long gone, as he continuously rifles around for certain tidbits of information that can piece the solution together. Picking up what is now his third cup of coffee, he mumbles a variation of curses under his breath when he sees that he had been using the case’s manila folder as a coaster, glaring disdainfully at the blatant brown ring staining the front of the file. He is beginning to lose feeling in his backside, and his mind toys with the thought of taking a nap in one of the cots set up in the backroom. Yet, he cannot take his eyes away from the evidence laid out in front of him; the solution is right there—he can feel it beneath his fingertips as he trails them across the ridged papers and the dark ink.
Three rapid knocks are heard against the glass of his office door, and Yoongi looks up to see Hoseok—his second-in-command sergeant and long-time police partner—enter the room, nervously biting his lower lip. A deeper crease forms between his furrowed eyebrows as Yoongi takes one glance at the worried and tense expression adorning Hoseok’s ordinarily cheery face. He finally speaks up, his voice cracking slightly from disuse. “What is it, Hoseok?”
“Organized Crime sent their sergeant here to work on that case with you.” Hoseok gestures towards the opened file. “Apparently, it’s connected to a string of gang induced murders they’ve been tracking, and—”
“Oh, fuck, no.” Yoongi interrupts, rubbing his temples as he closes his eyes. “Please don’t tell me it’s—”
“Guess I’m stuck with you again. I’d say it’s a pleasure to work with you again, but it really isn’t, so let’s just cut the crap and get straight to it, pretty boy.”
“But most of all, Yoongi hates your stupid face with that stupid smile that still somehow makes his heart speed up at the most inconvenient times. ”
Ugh I melt. Seriously this whole universe should have been a sitcom or TV series. We need all the weirdest, craziest, and funniest scenarios these Bangtan Police have been into. I really love a good rivals + office themed fic plus it’s so funny too. I was just genuinely smiling all throughout and laughing at some of their lines (I think I laughed the most when Hoseok was being nosy in the last scene).
I melt over the little kids on a field trip, Holly being all squishy, the very important scene about Yoongi’s booty, and basically the whole Bangtan Police being this cute and adorable I don’t think Yoongi will seriously get mad at them (especially you, Taehyung. You’re godsend with your ridiculous handcuffs prank). But most of all, I melt over Yoongi and THATscene. Surprise, surprise. I always love a good twist.
Oh what a good way to end the rivalry but I also want these two to…like, bicker forever lol. This got me craving for something sweet and I think I’ll get myself doughnuts in the morning because I am already starting to miss the whole bangtan police gang

you wanted it, but your parents told you that a dollar for a toy you’ll probably lose or forget about wouldn’t be worth it, so you had gotten used to just reading the labels or looking at the pictures.

you turn, looking at a boy slightly tinier than you. you turn back to the machine, pouting as you pick at your fingers.

you clutch the coin in your palm before rushing forwards to the machine and slotting the coin in. with a considerable amount of strength for a 6-year-old, you finally turn the knob and the pink ball drops into the dispenser’s container.
you can’t crack it open though, so the boy takes (read: kind-of-snatches) it from you and tries to open it too, but to no avail.
