In fashionably late fashion, here’s my 2021 xmas card design! I drew this entirely in Procreate and also tried out the timelapse feature; I find it fascinating to watch a recording of myself draw an entire piece in 30 seconds (which I will upload in a reblog to this post)
The djinn designs are based off of existing ones from the Dark Dawn series, just with added festive flair c: From top to bottom: Clover, Tinder, Serac, and Lull

Happy Golden Sunday! For the 3rd and final Golden Sunday of 2019, I decided to illustrate the Xmas card I’m going to be printing and sending to friends and family! May your day shine as brightly as the joy of these Djinn in stockings
This illustration also serves as my one singular contribution to Inktober, and my art piece for my Twitch playthrough of Golden Sun: The Lost Age! The top image is the scanned version, and the bottom image is a photograph of the original artwork.
Oh, and did you know that there’s a Golden Sun Discord server? A group of real cool peeps who enjoy all things under the sun (pun fully intended) and anything Golden Sun related, of course!

This is an impromptu collab between myself and the wonderful eLTeh! I had some unfinished lineart and flats sitting around for months and she wanted to take a crack at some shading, and voila! The result is this lovely piece Please give her lots of props and kudos!
I aged up Felix and Sheba by about 3 or so years, and gave them alternate outfits that remain fairly true to their original designs. Please pardon the background, I’m tired and lazy and couldn’t think of anything else so take this gradient and enjoy it

This year marks the 9 year anniversary of the release of Golden Sun: Dark Dawn, and the Golden Sun community is celebrating its third Golden Sunday of the year on Sunday, October 27th! The Djinn Tower: A fearsome combination of Djinni that just can’t seem to get along, no matter how you stack them.

I left the initial sketch (right) alone for a few days before going back to it and making revisions, similar to how I used to write articles back in university; usually I just go straight into lineart and colours with my first sketch but uhhh not anymore I guess lmao
Most of the time I go with whatever I have because of time constraints (or me being lazy as fuck), but approaching this differently really helped tighten it up. I’m not as experienced with humans and clothing in comparison to the stuff I usually draw so anything I do to help me improve I’ll take it

Today marks the 16th anniversary of Golden Sun: The Lost Age, one of the most memorable games from my childhood. To this day Felix is still my favourite character; both he and the series deserve some love
Fun fact: I actually played TLA before the original Golden Sun because one of my relatives bought it for me for Christmas one year. Kid me didn’t know it was a sequel so I went through the entirety of TLA without any context lmao
