I designed my own Jupiter Djinn—meet Plume and Tempest
Plume was inspired by seraphim (six-winged deities) and initially was going to be called Seraph, but the name didn’t really suit the design that well other than the “six wings” motif. Tempest, on the other hand, is pretty straightforward.
I didn’t bother coming up with hard stats for these two cuties, but I did put some thought into their “in-game” battle effects!
Plume: Deals a Jupiter-aligned physical attack equal in power to the user’s normal physical attack plus an additional 60 damage points. 15% chance to afflict Stun, 30% chance to afflict Sleep, 60% chance to afflict Delusion.
Tempest: Deals a Jupiter-aligned physical attack equal in power to the user’s normal physical attack plus an additional 20 damage points. 80% chance to deal a damage multiplier of x1.2 (30%), x1.6 (25%), x2.0 (20%), x2.5 (15%), or x3.0 (10%).
Please do not use these designs or ask me if you can use them; they’re very personal and I plan on using them for future projects!

These were taken on a Sony a6100 with a Sigma 30mm f/1.4 lens, edited in Camera Raw. I absolutely love the amount of bokeh I can get on this prime lens!

Earlier this year I bought a Huion Kamvas 16 (2021) because I felt like it was time to upgrade to a screen tablet—and boy, was I glad I took the plunge! I’ll never be able to go back to using a traditional tablet (RIP Intuos Pro, you served me well all these years)
This emote, oh-so-very aptly named “SaturosLUL”, is the first thing I drew with my new Huion tablet for the Golden Sun Discord server! The left is the original version with Saturos’ red portrait background (from the Golden Sun game itself), and the right is an alternate version just because I like blue I was super impressed with the increase in my drawing speed from sketch to finished piece, although I still lack the free time to get any substantial drawing time in these days

I almost wasn’t going to put together a summary of art for 2020, but I decided to anyway because despite everything that happened I managed to draw some pretty decent things!
2020 in particular was really difficult for me; I went through a breakup that unfortunately dragged on for 8 months and involved lawyers, and during that time period the COVID-19 pandemic also forced me to go into 3 months of isolation. That 3 month period of strict isolation included forcing me to work from home, spending my birthday (physically) alone, stopping all floor hockey league games, and having to deal with legal documents and procedures that could have been dealt with before the pandemic started.
I’m doing a lot better now mentally, but between all the shit that happened from the end of 2019 up to this point, art as a hobby for me took a huge step onto the backburner. I’m surprised I even had enough energy and motivation to even FINISH half of the pieces I drew in 2020
Either way, I’m glad people still enjoy my work; even if nowadays posts are few and far between because most of my energy is spent working (don’t get me wrong, I love my job), illustration will always be something I have a passion for!

- His name means “second son”, but his design scheme is themed around the number “two”
- His design is inspired by sakura petals, sparrows, and the swallow-tailed kite
- Jiro’s colour palette is comprised entirely of my reworked brand colours
- He has two sets of wings! A primary pair for flight and a smaller secondary pair for extra control
- Likes collecting small trinkets and hoarding them, but constantly forgets where he hides things
- Is the size of a house cat

I drew this quite a while ago and just never posted it, but here’s Angus McFife from Gloryhammer in pixel art form! These are “Sokoban”-esque assets for a friend’s gaming project; I went the extra mile with details lmao (aka I got carried away again)
This was my first time drawing a character turnaround in pixel art, on a very small canvas with limited space. Super fun, would do it again!

☀️ Happy Golden Sunday! Continuing my trend of drawing Djinn for Golden Sunday, here are Geyser and Haze from Dark Dawn; size-by-side, they share quite a similar design, don’t you think?
The little stones scattered around the piece are tiny amethyst beads—I quite like using props like these when taking photographs of my traditional work, as they add a lot of flavour to the overall composition that scans can’t capture.

I was thinking about which Djinni in Golden Sun: Dark Dawn has the cutest design and after a lot of thought, decided that Breeze is the cutest Djinni in existence; don’t @ me
This was drawn completely on-stream on my Twitch channel! I took a few liberties with Breeze’s design, but I’m quite happy with how this turned out As the very last piece of art of 2019, I felt it was fitting to usher in the new decade with what I consider to be my current aesthetic: cute and fantastical!

This is an impromptu collab between myself and the wonderful eLTeh! I had some unfinished lineart and flats sitting around for months and she wanted to take a crack at some shading, and voila! The result is this lovely piece Please give her lots of props and kudos!
I aged up Felix and Sheba by about 3 or so years, and gave them alternate outfits that remain fairly true to their original designs. Please pardon the background, I’m tired and lazy and couldn’t think of anything else so take this gradient and enjoy it

Hey all! A lot of you know that I’ve been streaming a bunch of art and games on Twitch lately and I’ve really been enjoying it; so much so that I’m only 10 followers away from reaching Twitch Affiliate!
What does reaching Affiliate mean? Well, that means I’ll be able to provide channel emotes for your use, and any support I receive from subs, bits, or tips goes directly to improving the stream and future illustrative works! It’s kind of like Patreon, but for frequent live content and direct interactions with the me, the artist!
That said, I’m planning on moving forward with my creative process by committing to an art/gaming stream: I’ll be playing a game I’ve never played before once through and then drawing a piece of fanart for that game! Typically I don’t let people see my works in progress, but this way you’ll be able to actually watch how I illustrate from start to finish and enjoy some laughs along the way c:

Soooo I think in between commissions I’m going to try and get my ass moving on that ref sheet for Viri that I’ve been talking about for over a year now; first up is a set of expressions! I’m planning to have around 4 or 5 different ones, maybe more if I feel up to it.
Viri, like all kirin, has the ability to breathe fire regardless of elemental alignment. However, she can only do so when under intense anger or stress. Attempting to breathe fire otherwise simply produces fog, and is typically used only as a last resort when no other options are viable.

I left the initial sketch (right) alone for a few days before going back to it and making revisions, similar to how I used to write articles back in university; usually I just go straight into lineart and colours with my first sketch but uhhh not anymore I guess lmao
Most of the time I go with whatever I have because of time constraints (or me being lazy as fuck), but approaching this differently really helped tighten it up. I’m not as experienced with humans and clothing in comparison to the stuff I usually draw so anything I do to help me improve I’ll take it

It’s been roughly 5 years since I’ve drawn pixel art, and yet I felt ambitious enough to take on a commission with the largest canvas I’ve ever drawn pixel art on - 1920x1080 pixels! The one uploaded here is a downsized version for obvious reasons, but it was refreshing to put aside my tablet for a bit and just use my mouse for once c:
The scenery in the window is interchangeable thanks to the magic of layers! The original request from the commissioner was of a scene that had an evening/night feel, so I felt that twilight was the appropriate default here. Darren (on the left) is cosplaying as Nappa from Dragon Ball Z, and Andy (on the right) is cosplaying as Kei Tsukishima from Haikyuu!!
Fun fact: the books on the shelf are actually referenced from various medical and design books that I personally own; I’ve listed them below from top to bottom, left to right, but kudos if you recognize any of them

My boyfriend asked me to draw a card for his dad’s 60th birthday literally maybe 3 or 4 days before his big birthday celebration so I kind of had to bust my ass to get this done in time, but I’m happy with how it turned out!
Turning 60 is considered a very important age in Asian culture because it means you’ve completed one full life cycle, and are about to begin another “new life”. Many people consider 60 to be a significant milestone also because it’s “the age” when people generally retire (but let’s be real who can retire at 60 now LMAO)
His dad is an Earth Pig, so I incorporated a lot of lucky elements in this:
- The number 8, represented as 8 Marguerite flowers (commonly known as the Paris Daisy)
- Lucky colours: yellow, gold, grey, and brown
- Personality strengths of the pig: warmhearted, gentle, generous
