I designed my own Jupiter Djinn—meet Plume and Tempest
Plume was inspired by seraphim (six-winged deities) and initially was going to be called Seraph, but the name didn’t really suit the design that well other than the “six wings” motif. Tempest, on the other hand, is pretty straightforward.
I didn’t bother coming up with hard stats for these two cuties, but I did put some thought into their “in-game” battle effects!
Plume: Deals a Jupiter-aligned physical attack equal in power to the user’s normal physical attack plus an additional 60 damage points. 15% chance to afflict Stun, 30% chance to afflict Sleep, 60% chance to afflict Delusion.
Tempest: Deals a Jupiter-aligned physical attack equal in power to the user’s normal physical attack plus an additional 20 damage points. 80% chance to deal a damage multiplier of x1.2 (30%), x1.6 (25%), x2.0 (20%), x2.5 (15%), or x3.0 (10%).
Please do not use these designs or ask me if you can use them; they’re very personal and I plan on using them for future projects!
Felix and his Djinni friends have donned their winter attire—to wish you a Happy Holidays and a Happy New Year
In fashionably late fashion, here’s my 2021 xmas card design! I drew this entirely in Procreate and also tried out the timelapse feature; I find it fascinating to watch a recording of myself draw an entire piece in 30 seconds (which I will upload in a reblog to this post)
The djinn designs are based off of existing ones from the Dark Dawn series, just with added festive flair c: From top to bottom: Clover, Tinder, Serac, and Lull

My favourite Golden Sun Jupiter Djinn designs From left to right, top to bottom: Vortex, Kite, Haze, Breeze, and Wisp
This was supposed to be an exercise to get my rusty drawing hand back into shape aka keep it nice, loose, and simple, but the loose part didn’t really happen LMAO
☀️ Happy Golden Sunday! Continuing my trend of drawing Djinn for Golden Sunday, here are Geyser and Haze from Dark Dawn; size-by-side, they share quite a similar design, don’t you think?
The little stones scattered around the piece are tiny amethyst beads—I quite like using props like these when taking photographs of my traditional work, as they add a lot of flavour to the overall composition that scans can’t capture.
And if you’re wondering, “What’s Golden Sunday?” it’s an event that occurs every once in a while to celebrate the Golden Sun franchise! There’s also a Golden Sun Discord server if you’re interested in getting to know a bit more about the series, or if you’re already a Golden Sun fan c:
I was thinking about which Djinni in Golden Sun: Dark Dawn has the cutest design and after a lot of thought, decided that Breeze is the cutest Djinni in existence; don’t @ me
This was drawn completely on-stream on my Twitch channel! I took a few liberties with Breeze’s design, but I’m quite happy with how this turned out As the very last piece of art of 2019, I felt it was fitting to usher in the new decade with what I consider to be my current aesthetic: cute and fantastical!
I can never get enough of Dark Dawn’s cool designs (despite the game itself being kinda eh but hey, Golden Sun as a series is pretty great; NINTENDO PLZ REVIVE THIS IP). If you’re a Golden Sun fan or interested in seeing what the series is about, check out the r/GoldenSun Discord server!
Happy Golden Sunday! For the 3rd and final Golden Sunday of 2019, I decided to illustrate the Xmas card I’m going to be printing and sending to friends and family! May your day shine as brightly as the joy of these Djinn in stockings
This illustration also serves as my one singular contribution to Inktober, and my art piece for my Twitch playthrough of Golden Sun: The Lost Age! The top image is the scanned version, and the bottom image is a photograph of the original artwork.
The Djinn Tower: A fearsome combination of Djinni that just can’t seem to get along, no matter how you stack them.
This is a gift for one of the moderators on the r/GoldenSun Discord that’s been sitting on my to-do list for over two months! If you like Golden Sun, check out the Discord server; there’s a lot of cool peeps in there who share the same love for one of the greatest RPGs of all time on the GBA system
