Today is the day to celebrate our beautiful planet, and to emphasize how important it is to care for it.

Today, a record number of countries are meeting in New York City to sign the historic Paris Agreement on climate change!

Aswe are witnessing the slow dying of the biggest living entity on our planet, the Great Barrier Reef, it is time to take action.

And to end on a positive note, here is a piece on why we are not as doomed as we think.

Let’s start looking after our planet.

Yes yes yes! What a wonderful idea! A 100% biodegradable six-pack ring,plastic-free and made of barley and wheat leftover from the brewing process.

We need every beer company to support and switch to these edible six pack rings! In the meantime and if you must purchase a six-pack with plastic rings, don’t forget to cut it up before you throw it out, That way, if it accidentally ends up in the water, no animals will get entangled in the rings.

‘Un bateau électrique, au look classique‘

Those words certainly ring true with French designer and engineer Dimitri Bez’s latest project; a stunning wooden leisure boat inspired by the 1947 “Sea Maid” ski-boat (which you can see at Classic Boat here).

It runs off an electric engine, meaning it can keep up with its rapid petrol-based counterparts and run quicker than super-green sail boats. In addition to speed, it also allows the minimalist machine to run almost silently.

It has been built with an uncompromising dedication to comfort, luxury and quality; with leather seats, a retro pair of front and rear cabins for driver and passengers, along with a sumptuous dark wood finish. An oLED touch screen allows for simple navigation and stands as the only visibly modern element in this otherwise classic boat. Perfect if you have the cash!

The National Bank of Abu Dhabi found that “cost is no longer a reason not to proceed with renewables”

The Gulf States may have been built on oil, but their future is going to be in solar. The opportunity is enormous, the technology exists and, according to a new report from the National Bank of Abu Dhabi, “cost is no longer a reason not to proceed with renewables.” I’ll repeat that for emphasis: this report comes via the National Bank of Abu Dhabi, one of the biggest banks in the Middle East. And it couldn’t be more enthusiastic about the investment opportunities in renewable energy.

Solar is looking like it’s too good of a deal to turn down.
