Inktober 2018 Day 4 - SPELL.
Children living close to Lake Aghandur know pretty well not to venture near its shores alone at night. They have all heard, at least one time in their short lives, the cautionary tale of Unma, told by their mothers and grandmothers.
Unma, being barren, resented the fertility of Amla, her younger sister, mother of two beautiful boys, and tested by the god Holoss, could not overcome the jealousy and the fear of being considered a lesser person.
One night, while her sister was away, she lured her two nephews to the waters of Aghandur, and there, stabbed them and drowned them in the cristaline waters of the lake’s shore.
Almost imediately, the haze put upon her by Holoss was lifted and she became aware of her crime. In desperation, she dove into the lake to look for the children and the waters turned mirky and dark.
Brabmi, keeper of the sanctity of rivers and springs, was disgusted by the act and condemned Unma to be trapped inside the spoiled lake for eternity, searching for her nephews in vain.
It is said that, in the dark nights where the moon is absent, she sometimes comes to the surface, and captures less careful children, mistaking them for Abban and Bonn, her dead nephews.

Inktober 2018 Day 2 - TRANQUIL. “The Hands of Brabmi” calmly hail the sunset, the symbolic disappearance of the Mother of Creation, Rauna, who perpetually searches for her lover, Anuar, symbolized by the rising moon.
The rock formation, situated at the southwestern end of the continent of Ombhu, is a traditional place of pilgrimage to the worshippers of the goddess Brabmi, the Giver.

Hi kids! This year, I’ll be joining the challenge a little late, as soon as I get back home. Basically, the concept will be the same as last year, using the prompt list created by @jakeparker to create little stories around the illustrations I’m coming up with, all based on the world I’m creating for Hanuram. Some of the stuff I drew last year challenged me in ways I hadn’t anticipated and I loved most of the places I went to because of that, so I’m excited to take another shot at it. Hopefully, I’ll finish the challenge this year.

Hanuram Design Sketchbook #2 - CROWNLESS
The sixth of the seven heirs of Borm-Wenner, an infant Zua watched in horror the killing of her family and the fall of her House at the hands of usurpers formerly within its ranks.
Zua’s fate took a different turn though, when, desperate to flee from the hands of the attackers, she saw herself cornered into a high wall. With no way out, Zua prayed to Saffia, the Giver of Fortune, like her mother had taught her, and lept.
The last of the Borm children was believed to have joined the rest of the family in Death, but a few accounts swear to have seen a winged creature take flight moments after the leap from the wall.
That horrific night turned into a grim memory, and the legend of the Crownless Child’s Leap became a tale only told quietly among cautious family circles.
But the child wasn’t dead.
And now, years later, the last of the Brom-Wenner heirs wants her revenge.
