Those two statues were made by someone called “葉王” in Taiwan. He was a master of Koji Pottery back in 1840s in Taiwan. Every time I put “葉王” in the searching column of google, there will be always information of Koji Pottery besides information of Shamanking LOL.
I’ve Noticed Something (Spoilers For Different Anime)…
I usually am really interested in sibling or family dynamics (including found family). My usual favorite type of siblings are twins.
Examples include (but not limited to):
Yuui and Fai (TRC)
Amane/Hanako and Tsukasa (JSHK/TBHK)
Yoh & Hao (SK)
I always like to see people fix their damaged relationships or just some nice family fluff. Just something that lets them be happy and letting them finally get to relax like normal kids.
I guess Diluc and Kaeya can be added to the list now after a year of going crazy and wanting them to just make up already.
I got suddenly weirdly nostalgic today. Have some quick Hao lineart from the series Shaman King, only aged up ten years and with a slightly revamped outfit.

This whole scene of them chilling together is so sweet and shows how much they really just wanted to be with each other and talk like this through the whole series but never had the chance due to their situation and everyone around them. So once they have the chance to be completely alone together at the end of the manga in the King’s Society of the Great Spirit, they can be free and open to speak with each other. Plus Hao is showing how much he really wants Yoh to be with him.

I could try and post more but this is already long haha so I’ll end with this one, I just love how Yoh’s like “He’s not even listening to me is he?” Like he just knows Hao so well at this point and is like okay, I know I’m just here for you to be able to have someone to talk to, cool lol
I’m an overthinker and this has been in my drafts for so long, waiting for this to be animated.
Have you ever wondered why Hao, in all his scheming, confident, charismatic and powerful glory, decided to have a peaceful night with his twin right before the final match of the Shaman Fight where he knew he would definitely win?
He decided to have a bath and a sleepover WITH HIS TWIN.
And proceeded to fight WITH HIS TWIN as brothers for the first and last and only time.
I sometimes wonder if Hao longed for his other half all his life. That there would be nights when he’ll think what would Yoh and him would have talked about before going to bed? What would be the situation if they shared a room or have a bath together? What would have been the reality if only they grew up together in the same environment? If they both worked together to achieve a common goal?
I also wonder if Yoh thought about those nights he was so lonely and scared? And after finding out the existence of his other half, have Yoh thought that maybe those nights wouldn’t have been so lonely if his elder brother had been there? If those long and tiresome trainings had been more fun if only he had an older brother (much OLDER brother) to guide him. If only he had been taught to achieve the same goals as his twin has and not as an emergency plan to stop the said twin brother?
Hao is a complex persona but the night they spent together as twins may have shed some light to Yoh and his questions.
I just know in my heart that Hao longs for his other half. His inner child is projected by Yoh, the child who was once pure and had people whom he cared about. The little boy the world failed to protect.
And the way he quietly answered Yoh’s question about his mind-reading ability. It was a simple gesture, letting Yoh know that Hao can and will always answer his little brother’s questions if only Yoh asked.
And also, Hao shed some light on how LONELY he is, solidifying Yoh’s resolve to save his older brother.
Hao then knew that upon winning the Shaman Fight, he’ll die and would consume his twin. And that night would be the only time he’ll get to spend a normal sleepover with his twin. And that is just something to make my heart melt.
LOOK AT HIS FACE!!! HE’S WATCHING HAO WITH EMBARRASSMENT, ANXIETY AND LOADED QUESTIONS!!!
What went through your head at this time, Yoh????
And the fact that this guy here looks happy.
I mean, Hao, my dear, who wouldn’t be anxious and nervous and wrecked when it’s your FIRST TIME TO SLEEP ALONE IN A ROOM WITH YOUR PSYCHOPATHIC, SOCIOPATHIC, MURDERER OTHER HALF/ ELDER BROTHER/ ANCESTOR/ ENEMY/ TWIN?
I just love how Hao looks at Yoh in this panel. He must have hated watching Yoh acting tough. AND PLEASE. He secured the people Yoh cherishes while he’ll be out there “to destroy everything”.
He must have be fond at looking at his “other half” finally being himself. He must have seen his “other self” in Yoh. They both share a soul and they are brothers. They shared heartbeats for nine months.
And for the first time, Hao must have felt thankful to finally be able to be alone with his other half.
