Looking at this still is just getting me more and more hyped about Mike’s storyline this season. Like just look at him having fun doing something he actually likes to do! It’s such a 180 from what he was like in S3.
There he was so concerned about “growing up” and “not being a kid anymore” and sacrificing quality time with his friends to be with El. And now, he’s starting this season seemingly being more honest with himself. We can call him a hypocrite all we want, but this does seem to be some healthy growth for the guy. I’m very excited to see it all play out.
And also, ya know, if S3 he was focused on El (growing up/giving into external expectations) while pushing away from Will (youth/actual wants, dreams, etc.), then we should be seeing the opposite of that in S4. Which obviously, but I can’t help but say it again because Byler really looks like it’s going to happen!
Please just let it happen! All these interviews are skyrocketing my confidence.
