‘The blocks aren’t coming back down,’ Pearl messages Lime, her heart in her throat. 'Lime, they’re not coming down anymore.’
'that shouldn’t be happening,’ comes his response, an hour later. Pearl strokes Nugget, listening to the animals down the hall. What will she do with them? They’re innocent.
'I know,’ she replies. Squeezing her fist, she adds. 'Tell Poppy I say goodbye.’
She turns her communicator off. She needs to move the animals.

I was wondering why the tips of her hair had that texture, initially I though it had beads, now it makes more sense
…the fact that Grian’s 3rd Life bunker with its sand+sign+lava trap is literally the exact same mechanism Mumbo just used to trap the decoy vault lends new hilarity, credence, and poignancy to Grian asking:
grian rlly flies over zedaphs base and says “wow it looks like some kind of summoning circle ahaha what a weird neighbor. anyways i need to go crack a giant purple rift between worlds underneath my megabase site”
personally don’t see why everyone’s so worried about the entity. like i said before, rocks just do that sometimes. you crack them open and there’s a geode inside. or legs! or flesh! rocks are just like that. it’s perfectly normal. maybe it just wanted to be a little squishier.
i mean, the only other option is clearly that, given the other way the entity becomes new things is to absorb things, that it absorbed the flesh from somewhere else. but that would be silly! right?
Grian feels the Entity mocking him as he groans and leans back against a cold, unforgiving spike of bedrock at the bottom of Doc’s cold, unforgiving pit. He has tried three times to contact help, but everyone who is online or looking at their communicators is either busy or would get stuck themselves, or maybe they just aren’t getting his messages, and he has a stupid sprained or possibly broken wing and the slimes are avoiding him for some reason so he can’t even get them to kill him so he respawns properly and god, he’s miserable and hurting and hates that he hadn’t thought through diving for diamonds and -
He makes a frustrated groan as his message to his friends doesn’t go through again and, in a brief moment of stupidity, throws his communicator. It bounces off the stone. Makes him feel slightly better, but not much.
Slowly, he feels something lethargic curl in the back of his mind. Well. There he is, facing the consequences of his actions.
