Soft and warm. Those were the only words that could possibly be considered appropriate to describe the world around Villain. Soft and warm… Soft and warm…

Waking Up

Waking Up Pt.2

“I’m not sleeping on the floor.” Villain declared immediately.

“Neither am I.” Hero vowed.

The two turned to look at one another.

“It seems we have come to an impasse.”

When one thought of the word “collateral,” their minds most often went to the financial. A security deposit on a hotel room, an item given over to ensure a loan. The financial. The mundane.

Usually, this word wasn’t associated with prisoner exchanges.

Villain had had a lot of bad days in their time.

After all, one didn’t generally turn to villainy if all their life had been peachy keen. They weren’t one to enjoy thinking back to that, to their past, to all the things that led them to this point.

However, they were certain of one thing:

No matter how many horrid things they’d been through, how many dumpster fire days and tearful nights, today was, undeniably, the worst day of their life.

Yea! Here it is, im still there! TW: broken ribs, mention of death, blood, swearing. Be safe <3

Hero was trying to understand what them just saw. Villain was walking in a street, alone and looking drunk. They was holding their side and was pulling ther mask off, that Hero supossed to be to breath better.

“Ok, don’t heal, don’t stitch… it.” Villain said, with a weak groan. Hero jumped to their side, smiling so brightly that Villain, even with their incoherent thoughts and the killer pain in their ribs, smiled back.

“What are you doing there? It’s late.” Hero said, receving a violent shiver from Villain’s body, after them take one more step. To be honest, Villain and Hero didn’t hate each other, they just fight because SuperHero said to Hero that if they don’t, their career like hero will go down until be nothing. And Hero was afraid of that.

“Don’t worry, it’s just-” Villain paused, feeling their hands shook even more, and wet. Wait, what-

With a instant, Hero was with their arm around their neck, beginning to walk with a weak Villain. “Stop it, Hero.” Hero didn’t stop. “Hero, we will-” Villain stopped after the both heard something flying above them. Villain took their arm off of their neck and eyed above, seeing that Hero already was in a build, looking for what just passed by them.

Villain was ok, until Hero froze. That was SuperHero, having a aparently nice conversation with Hero.

While, Villain walked to a alley, feeling that their legs can give up any moment. They sat, holding their sides. Maybe two or three ribs broken, a stab wound and a tiredness that was beating Villain up.

They didn’t know how much time passed, but when Villain knew it, Hero already was with their hand in their sides, looking for more wounds. Villain almost panicked when Hero pulled a first aid kit.

“No, no, please.” Villain said. Their throat dry from how much they had screamed.

“… What? I am trying to help you.” Hero said, and Villain only nodded, resting their head in the brick wall that they was leaning.

“I know.” Villain said, almost a whisper. Hero sat besides them, with their first aid kit in their hands, looking to Villain.

“Why you didn’t let me stitch you up?” Hero said, low, and Villain turned their eyes to them, and Hero almost cried from how much tiredness was in there.

“It is keeping me from panic. And with broken ribs, it will be…” A stop for breath, and for close their eyes. “Not nice.” Villain finished with a whisper, and let their body lean close to Hero, and it was warm and confortable.

“It is a… strange way to keeps you calm.” Hero said, and all they recived was only a soft breathing. “Well… shit.”

Hero was cleaning Villain’ bloodied body, and a soft knock in their door made them look up, and open the door. In the other side was Sidekick, who was smiling and stepping inside the house. Hero smiled softly back, guiding the two to Hero’s bedroom.

“So… I want you to not panic, alright?” Hero said, leaving a confused Sidekick to see Villain in Hero’s bed, awake but weak.

“What.” It was all that Sidekick let out, coming closer to Villain, putting one hand in the side of their neck. Their pulse was slow and weak, but it was there.

“How- w- Hero?!” Sidekick yelled, and eyed Hero, who already was in their task of cleaning the blood again.

“They was walking alone, and SuperHero almost caught them in the street, if it wasn’t me there, Villain was already dead. Now help me.”

After half of a hour, Sidekick and Hero finished, and Villain was waking up. When their senses become more sharp, the panic installed itself in Villain’s chest.

It will be a long night.

One more.. Snippet? Prompt? I don’t really know but yeah :’D TW: injury, swearing, burn scars.Be safe <3.

Hero never wondered why Villan always had a long coat, scarf, gloves, boots and baggy pants on. They didnt give a fuck about what Villan had on, but one night this changed.

Hero was sick of how much damage Villan caused to the city that day, so they themselfs was searching for Villan, with Sidekick listening their moves and talks. They search in the downtown, and then they stopped in a tall building, catching their breath.

“Do you think that they have a safehouse that they’re hiding?” Sidekick asked, looking out of the window, watching every move of the cars and persons. “Maybe,” Hero answered fast, jumping again in roof to roof. “I guess that they’re in the city, at least yet, I think that I heard they have a reunion with some other villans”

Without response, and after almost 3 hours searching, Hero stopped again in a rooftop of a tall and large building, looking at the sky. ‘Where the fuck are Villan?’ They wondered in their head, before listening little groans and pain-filled moans.

Hero walked to the edge of the building, looking for what made that sound. Nothing there. They walked a little to another edge, seeing that there was a little space, where was someone curled up. Hero jumped to that plataform, getting closer. The sigh break their heart, but when the person lift their head up, Hero’s breath hitched, seeing Villan in the verge of tears, looking like a kicked dog, with their coat wrapped in them tightly.

“I know i did something, but-” Villan stopped themselfs, due to the pain that was crushing their frail body. “don’t take me to jail, please.” Villan begged, felling that their members was burning again.

Hero looked to Villan with a disgusting face, but after investigating their body, their face twisted for a worried but gentle face; Villan’s body was curled up, shivering, shaking like a leaf and with blood. Somuch blood

“Hero? What’s going on, who’s talking?” Sidekick said, almost giving Hero a heart attack. “Wait a minute.” Hero said, turning off their way of communication. They lifted a hand, landing in Villan’s shoulder, that flinched violenty back in the wall, trying hard to be free of Hero’s hand.

“Relax. Where it hurts?” Hero asked with a soft voice, that made Villan shiver so much more than already was. “… Everywhere.” Villan said in a barely whisper, letting out a whimper, looking down to their body, where their hand was covering the deeper wound. “Can i get off your coat?” Hero asked, with both hands in the fabric. Instantly, Villan shook their head, putting one hand in the Hero.

“I need to be in a hidden place to that, please, don’t get is off there.” Villan begged, making Hero feel a little guilty, but took Villan in their arms and jumped of the building, landing perfectly fine in the ground, hearing the tiny whimpers of Villan. “It’s ok. You can be awake while I walk to the car?” Hero asked, receiving a nod from Villan, who clinged in Hero’s uniform for dear life (and consciousness). “Good,” Hero said, leting out a little smile.

While they run to the Hero’s car, they were thinking, of who or what make Villan abandon the bad guy they showed to the crowd to be this small, curled up and frail body. They never saw Villan this way, injuried and crying. Or whimpering, instead of making mocking comments.

Once they’re there, Hero opened the back door of the car, putting the Villan laying in the seat. “Can you relax a little?” Hero asked when Villan didnt let go of their uniform. “I am scared…” Villan said, in a whisper that Hero almost didnt catch up. “That’s ok, i will take care of you now.” After that, Hero felt the fabric of their uniform being released.

And then, Hero drove to their house. Their real house, in a peaceful location, with silent neighbors. They didnt heard Villan’s soft groans and looked back, seeing that they was sleeping peacefully, at least now.

Finally, Hero managed to enter the house with Villan in their arms and put they in the couch, who was awaking up now that they was in a warm ambient. “Hero, im sorry. Really, you don’t have to-” Hero shushed them by massaging their scalp. “Don’t be sorry. I get you there because im worried about you, yea? What about I take your coat off and patch you up?” Hero asked, giving a gentle and small smile to Villan, who closed their eyes and nodded, with a litle smile in their face too.

Hero was getting the coat off, when they saw one thing that give them tears. Burn scars. In only one side of Villan’s body, everything was burned, and bleeding. The skin was so fragile that only the air touching there made Villan whimper, biting their bottom lip to prevent themselfs to make a sound. Hero got worried and began to get off the scarf and gloves, seeing that their hands and neck was burned too.

“Villan? You still awake?” Hero said, and heard their own voice broke. Without a response, they supposed that they finally lost the battle to the inconsciousness. This gave the Hero relief that Villan was not in pain anymore, but gave them more worry.

_______________________

Villan was surprised that their eyes opened, their brain barely catching what happened and where they was. Then the memories came crushing like a train, making their head hurts.

They was so weak that even panic they didnt felt, only a hand in their shoulder. Hero’s face entered their vision, and the feeling of something cold in their hands. “Hero, what,” They looked down, seeing that Hero gave them a cup of cold water and some pain killers.

“Can you tell me what happened?” Hero asked, pointing to the burn scars that was in Villan’s body.

Villan almost passed out again with that question.

I just finished watching Sweet Tooth (In Netflix!) and I am crying on the floor yet.
So this is inspired by the story of the series. Nothing there will have spoilers.

“All Villain know until now is fear, inprisonament and hate. It will be no easy, you know that, right?” Hero asked, looking down to the blueprint of the prison (if it can be called that, putting all the hybrids there) that Villain is.

“I just never knew why the people call him and the other hybrids villains. Or monsters. Or "the ones who destroyed the world.” Sidekick walked around the room, with a finger under their chin, deep in thought.

“Basically, everyone thinks that the hybrids are the ones who started the virus. It is not.” Vigilante pushed themselfs off the wall they were leaning in, getting in the light. “The virus started because another virus mutated.”

“While the hybrids were born…” Sidekick finished, looking back to the two figures. Hero nodded. “They were never the bad guys. They are just the ones who never had a choice.”

“Exactly. And we will give them the choice to be free.” Hero said, putting their hands in the table and looked to the other two.

“Are you with me?”

~

Villain was with his shock collar again. He never was without it, but today they were more then aware of the little metal in the back of his neck,

His boss said that he was going to help them fiding anothers hybrids, make experiments with them.

They put him in a cage and in a truck, making only his wolf ears out of the cage, looking for any demonstration of sound. A squirrel and another, running for their lifes and his ears catch.

Until he heard voices. Whispers, of waiting until he was exactly under a especific tree.

And he waited. Maybe he was going to die or it was a test to them to know if he is really loyal.

But the thing was: He wasn’t. Villain was not someone who was loyal, especially not to the people who made him fall on the floor with shocks and imprison him like he was some dog.

And… He was not a dog. He was a hybrid. A wolf hybrid. And it hurted so much when everyone in that fucking place called him a doggy.

After a few minutes, moviment were heard and his ears capted, turning in the direction of it.

And two figures jumped in the truck, killing the driver and fighting all the others. Another figure was getting closer of his cage, and his ears instinctively lowered, almost entering the cage.

“It’s alright, I’m not gonna hurt you. I recommend you to come with us, but if you want to run is alright too.” Vigilante said, and he opened the cage with a punch, leaving Villain to sink in himself, yet in the litle prison. Vigilante got out of his vision and the light of the sun almost blidded him.

Slowly, oh so slowly, he standed and watched the three figures looking at him, waiting patiently until he moved.

But they didn’t noticed his boss with a controller.

Eletric white pain spread in his body, and he jolted forward, falling right into the Vigilante’s arms. His limbs trembled so bad that he didn’t could get hold of anything, and even push the figure away from him.

And his vision was getting blurry and darker, until all the shock stopped and only warm was he thing he knew.

Hello! I hope you are having a good day!

TW: Torture mention, crying, pain, hitting someone. Be safe <3

Hero started ask themselfs why were they doing this.

Locking Villain and making them suffer just for information they already had? Why? It’s because the leader wanted that they admitted that they knew?

But…

Villain already said they didn’t.

Hero laughed at the things they were going to do. Villain was right in one thing.

They were fucking crazy.

~

The leader was again within the Villain’s cell again. With a barely illuminated spot, and the cold walls, Villain found themself trembling again.

The look in Leader’s face was scary. So much. The look of disdain, the look of “The moment you admit to know, you gonna die”.

Hero was just behind them, looking to the villain like it was some bug that entered their house.

But then. Hero hit Leader with a metal pipe, sending them right in the ground.

“Hey, I- it’s ok.” Villain started crying after the leader passed out, and Hero started to comfort them.

But they weren’t crying of fear or pain. But of relief.

Maybe pain too.

Cw: slight gore, blood, screaming, wounds, wound cleaning

Villain let out a small cry, their entire body stiffening as Hero eased them down onto the couch. Their breath came in short, shallow bursts, each rise and fall of their chest causing a fresh bolt of pain to shoot through their chest.

“Shhh, shhh, I’m sorry,” Hero whispered, their voice frantic and hushed as they took a quick step back, raising their hands as if they were afraid to hurt villain more. “I’m sorry- we can’t stay here long, we only have like ten minutes until the police get here-”

Their rambling was cut off as Villain let out another groan, clapping a hand over their mouth as they tried to stifle a cry, barely containing themself.

“Ff-fuck, get- get th-” They whimpered, a tear dripping down their flushed cheek as they clutched the rag tighter against the wound. Warm blood bubbled up from the terrible cut , soaking through the scraps of fabric and staining the cushions below them.

“Oh-” Hero blanched, suddenly remembering what the whole point of returning to their apartment was. They quickly turned, dashing to the bathroom and throwing open the cabinets door.

Toothbrushes and combs, bottles of unopened shampoo and conditioner flew through the air, creating a commotion that would have been comical given any other situation.

“I GOT IT!” Hero yelled, nearly hitting their head on the sink as they stood up, tripping over their own feet as they sprinted back to the living room.

In a quick movement, they ripped open the first aid kit, and dumped the contents out on the rug.

Bandaids… gauze… q-tips.. -was that a flashlight?

Hero didn’t have time to question Villain’s organization as they found what they were looking for, grabbing a bottle of antiseptic and a stray piece of gauze.

“Villain- hey Villain, I need you to look at me,” Their voice was higher than normal, their nerves seeping into their tone as they watched the bloodstain across Villain’s front but surely grow. “You know- you know that once I start this, I- I won’t be able to stop, right?” They asked as they twisted the cap off the bottle, soaking the solution onto the gauze.

Villain only whimpered in response, their face scrunching in pain as they slowly pulled their hand away from the wound, allowing Hero access.

Hero’s stomach flipped, bile creeping up the back of their throat as they examined the deep gash across the mess of blood and muscle that was once Villain’s abdomen.

“This- this is going to hurt, I’m sorry,” Hero whispered, quickly bringing the gauze to the wound.
