#heros and villains

LIVE
So, this are heavily inspired by this video (just switched the genders) and a comment there too.

Hero was in a museum. The police said that they’d seem someone, something enter the museum late at night, almost 4am.

When they entered…

Had a voice. Angelic and smooth. That echoed for all of the place. Was a masculine voice, for sure, and it was so beautiful.

Hero tried to know where the voice came from, but there was nothing. Nothing in the second floor, nothing hidden in the shadows…

They could only wait and listen that so-good-for-true voice, sitting in the floor with their back in one of the columns that had statue of some god from the greek mithology.

Hero paused and looked more interessed than scared.

It was some god? Singing for them and only for them?

God, it was intoxing. Incredible.

Once they come to the conclussion, the singing stopped.

It stopped.

The next day, Hero put everyone in the work of found what god was that.

Zeus? No, probably his voice was so grave, it was not.

Apollo? Hades? No, none of them.

They put their sibling, who was addicted to greek mytology, to search.

Nothing.

It was midnight when they laid down in their bed.

It was voice of Ares? Dionysus?! It was voice from what god?!

For goodness sake, they were going to be insane.

Then, they’re asleep with that thought.

______________

2 months later, the hero stopped trying figure out what voice it was.

But then, the police said the same thing from last time. They seemed someone or something enter the museum, and Hero entered the place in a super-human speed.

The voice was singing again.

“Oh, I come from a land, from a faraway place…” The voice started, and Hero paused.

They took a deep breath, and shouted. “Who the fuck are you?! Apollo?! Hades?! Please for the love of God tell me!”

A yelp could be heard in the back.

“Jesus christ I almost passed out. Next time remember walking!” Of behind of a column…

Villain appeared. With his hands in his chest, breathing heavily.

“Next time, too, don’t yell! Even if im not a god, they don’t like it, neither.”

Hero just scoffed. And puts their hand in their forehead. And sat down.

Villain was confused. What???

“What- What are you doing?” Villain asked and get closer to Hero, but them didn’t even care.

God, they was going insane because of Villain.

Hero started to laugh and looked to Villain, who was completly confused.

“Can you sing it to me again? I think I found the god that was driving me slowly to insanity.” Hero breathed out, locking eyes with Villain.

And Villain couldn’t be more embarrased with that request.

Eyes in the dark.

TW: Imprisoned, referring someone like a pet. If I missed some, tell me immediately. Be safe <3

When Hero first saw them, they was intrigued but scared the hell out, just because the eyes fucking glow in the dark.

They are yellow with green, and holds power, dominance and is scary as fuck.

At that moment, Hero thinked it could be a animal in the city, so they got their phone out of their pocket, but the eyes in the dark looked their every moviment.

“Hello, little one. You don’t need to be scared of me. I will only help, you trust me with that?” Hero said in the most soft voice they have.

“Stop talking like this…” Someone said and Hero paused awkardly with the phone in their hand.

“Villain?” Hero said, turning on their lantern and pointing to the dark.

Villain’s eyes stopped from glowing in the dark, and he glanced away, with a hand in his pocket.

“You scared the hell alive out of me, man,” Hero exclaimed, and pulled out their cuffs. “But the job have to be done.”

Villain just put his wrists together in his front, waiting for Hero.

And, of course, Hero paused and looked at them.

“What the fuck?” Hero said, frozed in the place. “What are you doing?”

“Come on with this, Hero.”  Villain said simply and nothing more.

Without any more talk, Hero cuffed him and locked him in the prison.

“Villain.” Hero asked after about three days after the imprisonment, and Villain knew that time would come.

“Why it was so easy to put you into the prison, after months running away?”

“Because I’m dangerous now.”

“You were before,” Hero said while sitting on the floor in front of Villain and they fought the urge to-

“You attacked people. Blown up things. How can you say that you are dangerous just now?”

“Hero, I…” Villain started, licking his lips and remembering his urge to attack Hero right there for food.

“You never knew that I was a hybrid, did you?” Villain said, getting closer to Hero. “That I’m a black panther hybrid.”

Hero was stunned for a few moments, before smiling and laughing a little.

“Really?” Hero said, and Villain nodded, before smirking.

Hero opened the metal door and patted Villain’s head, what made Villain instantly pop his ears out.

His ears were the same color of his hair: a dark black.

“You are so cute.” Hero said, and Villain smiled, leaning into Hero’s hand.

And then, SuperVillain’s voice echoed:

“I heard that we have a pet there?”

I just finished watching Sweet Tooth (In Netflix!) and I am crying on the floor yet.
So this is inspired by the story of the series. Nothing there will have spoilers.

“All Villain know until now is fear, inprisonament and hate. It will be no easy, you know that, right?” Hero asked, looking down to the blueprint of the prison (if it can be called that, putting all the hybrids there) that Villain is.

“I just never knew why the people call him and the other hybrids villains. Or monsters. Or "the ones who destroyed the world.” Sidekick walked around the room, with a finger under their chin, deep in thought.

“Basically, everyone thinks that the hybrids are the ones who started the virus. It is not.” Vigilante pushed themselfs off the wall they were leaning in, getting in the light. “The virus started because another virus mutated.”

“While the hybrids were born…” Sidekick finished, looking back to the two figures. Hero nodded. “They were never the bad guys. They are just the ones who never had a choice.”

“Exactly. And we will give them the choice to be free.” Hero said, putting their hands in the table and looked to the other two.

“Are you with me?”

Villain was with his shock collar again. He never was without it, but today they were more then aware of the little metal in the back of his neck,

His boss said that he was going to help them fiding anothers hybrids, make experiments with them.

They put him in a cage and in a truck, making only his wolf ears out of the cage, looking for any demonstration of sound. A squirrel and another, running for their lifes and his ears catch.

Until he heard voices. Whispers, of waiting until he was exactly under a especific tree.

And he waited. Maybe he was going to die or it was a test to them to know if he is really loyal.

But the thing was: He wasn’t. Villain was not someone who was loyal, especially not to the people who made him fall on the floor with shocks and imprison him like he was some dog.

And… He was not a dog. He was a hybrid. A wolf hybrid. And it hurted so much when everyone in that fucking place called him a doggy.

After a few minutes, moviment were heard and his ears capted, turning in the direction of it.

And two figures jumped in the truck, killing the driver and fighting all the others. Another figure was getting closer of his cage, and his ears instinctively lowered, almost entering the cage.

“It’s alright, I’m not gonna hurt you. I recommend you to come with us, but if you want to run is alright too.” Vigilante said, and he opened the cage with a punch, leaving Villain to sink in himself, yet in the litle prison. Vigilante got out of his vision and the light of the sun almost blidded him.

Slowly, oh so slowly, he standed and watched the three figures looking at him, waiting patiently until he moved.

But they didn’t noticed his boss with a controller.

Eletric white pain spread in his body, and he jolted forward, falling right into the Vigilante’s arms. His limbs trembled so bad that he didn’t could get hold of anything, and even push the figure away from him.

And his vision was getting blurry and darker, until all the shock stopped and only warm was he thing he knew.

I feel like one of the best ways to make a character more interesting is making their words and actions not alone.

And I think that’s what makes villains so interesting. Take the Master for example. He says he hates and wants to kill the Doctor. But there are times you can see that’s just not true.

Its completion is the best alignment.

I’m pretty sure I saw this somewhere as a prompt/trope a while ago, but I can’t find it now ;-; In any case, this idea really took hold of my brain, so much that it led to me writing something whumpy for the first time in months

Contains: villain whump, superpower dynamics, swear words, descriptions of blood and injury

It’d been a long day.

As he walked, grumbling, Hero kicked a bottle alongside the deserted road, watching it skitter in and out of shallow puddles. His last kick was a little too forceful - it clattered off several yards away, past a figure he hadn’t noticed until then. The figure snapped his head up in his direction, but Hero was swathed in the darkness of broken streetlights and shuttered windows, and he remained unseen.

Hero, however, could see clearly who the figure was.

He smiled grimly. About time my luck changed!

As Villain moved quickly into a nearby alley, Hero sped after him, determined not to lose sight of the man his team hadn’t been able to locate for nearly a month. You’re not slipping away this time.

Rounding the corner, Hero was met with a face full of broken glass as the bottle Villain flung at him shattered upon contact. Hero barely flinched, unharmed. He looked up to meet Villain’s wide-eyed stare.

Hero raised a brow. “That wasn’t a very good idea,” he remarked, before lunging forward and snatching Villain up by his throat.

He felt the muscles of Villain’s throat work as he swallowed audibly. “…It wasn’t, was it,” Villain admitted with a grimace.

Hero frowned slightly. He just couldn’t shake the feeling that something was…off, with Villain tonight.

Something was different, but he couldn’t let his guard down now - that’s what always inevitably happened whenever they’d battled in the past, and that’s how the slippery jerk was able to escape him every time, always just as he was about to cart him off to jail. Well, not tonight. Hero had the element of surprise on his side this time, and he meant to take full advantage.

A sudden pain then made him drop Villain, who took off like a bullet - Hero looked down to see he was bleeding from a small wound at his side. The bastard had stabbed him.

With renewed resolve, Hero tapped into his powers and dashed after Villain. He caught up to him just as he turned his back to the brick wall that blocked his escape. Without slowing down, Hero rammed into Villain and they both went crashing through what turned out to be a rather thick wall, the momentum sending them tumbling quite a while before they stopped. Hero made sure to stay on top of his adversary, pinning him down amid the rubble, and didn’t wait for the dust to settle before slamming a fist into his face.

He froze at the sound of a distinct crack.

The familiar yet altogether unexpected sound, plus the fact that Villain was unmoving beneath him, drew Hero into taking a moment to really look at the man. His eyes were closed, and he was bleeding from several places across his pale face and arms, dust and debris cloying to the wounds. A particularly nasty-looking gash just above his ear had that whole side of his head already slick with blood. What caught Hero’s eye most, however, was the blood that streamed out of Villain’s nose - a nose which was swollen and…crooked, as if it were broken.

But that couldn’t be. Not from just a single punch from him. And what was with all those other injuries? Hero - and Villain, for that matter - had dished out much worse punishment in previous scuffles with each other, and he’d never seemed too worse for wear; Hero was certain he could tell if he was truly hurt, even under that strange full-bodied set of armor he always wore. No, the only way he could’ve sustained that much damage from such a little tussle would be if…

Oh.

He’s not wearing any armor now, is he?

Oh,no.

“You’rehuman?!” Hero cried, incredulous, as Villain stirred back into consciousness.

The man winced, blinking rapidly, as he made what looked like a herculean effort to focus his gaze onto Hero. Villain flashed bloodied teeth as he rasped, “What gave it away?”
