#homemade tea
Rae’s Rose Release Tea
- 3 parts Rose petals
- 2 parts Lavender
- 1 part Green tea
- Honey to taste
First, I ground everything together in my mortar and pestle, the entire time directing my energy and the intention of tension/stress release into the motion.
Then, I let it steep for 5min before stirring in my desired amount of honey. Before drinking, I held the cup in my hands with my eyes closed, allowing the warmth and peace to seep in. Then I enjoyed it.
I’ve found that this little “ritual” helps ease the tension in my body and the weight on my shoulders. I hope it helps you, too!
Surprisingly tasty herbal teas:
- Blackberry tea - it’s made from blackberry leaves, you can forage them at pretty much any time of the year, and it tastes fruity and sweet like blackberries!
- Lemon-leaf tea - if you grow a little lemon tree, even from seed, you can take the leaves and make fresh lemon tea, it will taste fresh and lemony!
- Violet Leaves - the tea is very mild, herbal and only slightly sweet!
- Linden flower tea - it tastes sweet and fruity! Mixed with a bit of lemon it creates extremely tasty summer lemonade experience
- Chamomile+Mintcombo - I mixed them once and never stopped. I can’t describe how good that tea is, sweetness + freshness goes so well together!
