I was hoping to have more information before I made this post, so apologies for that. The news is starting to seep onto the platform though, as people share tributes as a way to process their own grief, so I think it’s time.
@siriussly-serious (he/they), mostly known here as Jay but also as Blu, Royale (in drag) and Jaxon, has passed away. Little is known at this point, other than that he was missing since Monday (10th May), reported as missing to the police on Wednesday (12th May) and found yesterday (15th May). This isn’t the right place for speculation, so I will have more to say when I have more information.
Although he hasn’t been active on the platform for a long time, Jay was a much loved member of the HP RP community. He was particularly an inspiration for LGBTQ+ creators and POC, going out of his way to encourage and promote anyone who felt they weren’t good enough or didn’t belong. He had so much love, which he handed out freely and sincerely to anyone and everyone who needed it. He created Found, a ridiculously ambitious project which I was privileged enough to be a part of, and which he was unfortunately unable to see through the way he desperately wanted to.
Jay would want me to tell you he was 6ft7, everyone was welcome to the gun show and the cheaper and higher percentage your rose wine is, the better. He wouldn’t want me to gush about what an amazing singer, performer, drag artist, RPer, artist, writer, Muddy, creative and friend he was, but tough shit mate, come and stop me. He loved cheap rose, gin, rum, milkshakes, white chocolate, Beyonce, drag kings, queers being queer, people living their best life, Hamilton, cuddles, sandalwood incense and salt lamps (but not when he wasn’t allowed to lick them). So if you want to celebrate him in your own way, there’s some ideas for you. Just stay away from whisky and any other kind of chocolate. No thank you, ma’am.
I was lucky enough to spend a lot of time in person with Jay over the last 3 years, but to those who never met him, your grief is just as valid. Your friendship was real, your love and loss is real. He loved you, he was proud of you every day you went out into a world that tries to tell you you’re broken or not enough. You are enough, and Dad is watching over you.
Jay had a large online presence, particularly in the drag king community, so I’m sure there will be some online tributes and possibly events. I will reblog this post adding information as I get it, including any tributes and donation information for those who can and would like to.
Rest in Power, Jay. It won’t be the same without you.
In memory of Jaxon Finch Blu who performed as Royale E Blu and was known as Jay @siriussly-serious here on Tumblr, we’re raising money for Raze Collective and Chrysalis - Gender Identity Matters, to support other queer performers and support the mental health of trans people in his area.
I understand not everyone is in a position to be able to donate, look after yourselves loves, but please share this post far and wide to spread the word.

Due to the short notice, it won’t be the grand affair I’d like it to be, but we’ll do our best. The stream will mostly be pre-written eulogies and memories but we hope to have a moment where we can include some stories from the comments.
We’re also raising donations in his name for Chrysalis - Gender Identity Matters and Raze Collective. Chrysalis - GIM offer online and in-person mental health support for trans and nonbinary people in the area where he lived. Raze Collective support LGBTQIA+ performers which is more needed than ever given the events of the last year+.

There is a wider archive being collected for @siriussly-serious (which you can read about here) but because of the nature of gif RP and Tumblr, I’ve also created a way for us to share our favourite posts and memories of Jay in one place.
So the idea is that I’ve made a Google Doc which contains links to a number of Jay’s posts. The title of each post has a comment thread attached to it. You can click the title or click the comment thread on the right to add your own comment about that particular post. You can copy in your original tags, write a story about the impact it had on you, or just share how it made you feel. No thought is too big or too small, but do bare in mind that anyone can see this. Also please note that when you comment, it will display the full name of the account you are logged in as. Due to this, if you wish to comment under a different name or anonymously, you can dm me or drop in my ask box.
This Google Doc is a work in progress, but that’s because I need you guys to help me complete it. If Jay’s blog has a tagging system, I don’t understand it so it’s hard to find what I’m looking for. I’ve started going through the blog systematically, but that’s going to take a while so I’m hoping that enough of us can search our own tags for reblogs to find what we want. There’s not many posts on there at the moment, so if you have one you want added, please send me the link and I’ll put it in.

Jay’s friend and fellow drag king Oliver Assets has set up a DropBox archive that anyone can view and anyone can add photos, video and memories to. It’s not got too much in it at the moment, because everyone is having difficulty processing everything with the lack of information and most don’t feel ready to sort through photos and video yet. The archive isn’t going anywhere, however, so save these links and you can go back whenever.
When you upload to the archive, it will show the file name to everyone. This means that you can provide a caption of sorts if you rename your files before uploading them. You can also provide a name to upload them under (you don’t need an account or to log in so can put any name) which means that within each folder they will be organised with all of your submissions together. Once submitted, you cannot edit or delete anything from the archive so make sure you want it public forever.
I understand that a lot of our memories on here of Jay are difficult to share in such a setting. Some gifs can stand alone, but some of the most poignant need the context of the posts they were made for. To tackle this, I’ve created our own archive of sorts, which will be detailed in this post here.

It’s been a month, and I still have no news for you guys about @siriussly-serious
I get that this is hard, hard to even start processing when it’s all such a mystery, and that interrupts the grief process. I get that it feels like you should be ‘getting over’ it, ‘moving on’ and such but that’s the capitalist productivity-led mindset talking. Grief takes as long as it takes, and that will vary not just from person to person but from loss to loss. I know it sucks to feel stuck right now, or possibly yo-yoing between being ‘okay’ and not, but you’ve got to let your brain brain, in it’s own time.
I do have stuff to share about tributes, but it’s been a heavy family social weekend of pretending to be cishet and neurotypical. I am also running a fic fest currently, I’ll try and make a post this week though.
Thank you for the space and consideration everyone has given me since my last post, it is appreciated and it’s actually been really helpful to look through the tags and know that I’m not alone in this, and that so many people really did appreciate just what an amazing human Jay was.

With the castle protected and Terryn gone, the founders now all have a moment to decompress. None of them have spoken much since Terryn left, but Godric can’t hold it in anymore.
Seraphine:What?
Seraphine: You didn’t have to. What are you hiding?
Seraphine:Rowan.
Seraphine: Excuse me?
Seraphine: Let him explain.
Seraphine: Watch your mouth, Godric Gryffindor. You said it yourself, we’re a family. This is a discussion, not a trial.
Seraphine: Then you shouldn’t have lied.
Seraphine: You’re not helping.
Seraphine: Rowan, what else do we need to know.
Outside the castle, Rosalind and her companion have finally arrived, they pause to look up at the castle and then over to each other.
The boy: Are you ready?
Rosa nods and the boy knocks loudly on the castle door. Helga opens the door, but all four of the founders are there to make sure that it isn’t anymore unwelcome surprises.
Rowan pauses for a moment to consider what she means, but the fact that Rosalind showed up without her mother gives him a slight clue as to how she came to lose it. He offers her a sympathetic smile.
Seraphine: Well then, we know Rosalind. Who are you?
Terryn walks toward the castle, bold as brass. Seraphine is the first one to see him, and she immediately stops putting up the wards to point her wand at him.
Seraphine: Not another step.
Seraphine: I don’t think we have anything to talk about.
Seraphine: Would you like to see what my stick can do?
She reluctantly lowers her wand, but stands her ground when Terryn comes a little closer.
Seraphine: Perhaps just a death wish.
Seraphine: We were occupied keeping the children you tried to kill safe. No time to steal anything.
Seraphine carefully schools her expression.
Seraphine: I’ll show you civil
Godric and Helga come back outside to help with the wards, but are stunned to see them having this calm conversation. Helga is furious and storms over.
Seraphine:Gladly.
The other founders look at Rowan, unsure what exactly just happened.
The founders are setting up protection spells around the grounds to ensure that should any Muggles come across the school, they won’t see it as a castle, but instead a run-down hovel of a shed that no-one in their right mind would want to enter. It’s taken the better half of the day along with taking care of the students.
Seraphine: We’re nowhere near finished.
Rowan and Godric glare at each other.
Seraphine:*Rolling her eyes* When you’re quite finished with your petty behaviour, we have a school to protect.
Seraphine: I think I crave death.
Helga ushers Godric away, Rowan and Sera watch them go. Sera opens her mouth to speak.
Seraphine: According to Godric, that’s your area of expertise.
Seraphine: It wasn’t supposed to be.
They glare at each other.
Terryn’s Camp
After finishing up a headcount of the members that he bought to set the fires at the castle, Terryn notices that he’s missing a member of their gang.
Frustrated, Terryn looks around again in case he just missed him.
Terryn: You really are a fool, aren’t you.
Terryn storms off, leaving Josef alone. Josef pushes out his bottom lip and huffs a little before going after him.
Terryn:*Menacingly* This isn’t a negotiation, Merek.
Back at Hogwarts Seraphine and Rowan are still setting up wards. Hidden a short distance away Terryn, Josef and Merek are hidden, watching them.
The founders are all sat together in the aftermath of the fire. Sera and Helga are in shock. Godric is still furious and Rowan is sheepish about having let Terryn get away.
Seraphine: Helga-
Seraphine pulls in a breath and abruptly tugs Helga into a comforting hug.
Seraphine:*She pulls her back to look at her properly* There won’t be a next time.
Seraphine: What’s that supposed to mean?
Seraphine: If the option is us or them, then yes.
Seraphine: Believe me, I do.
Seraphine shrugs off Rowan’s shock.
Seraphine: You wouldn’t have to defend yourself at all if you did what needed to be done.
The founders exchange glances and Godric takes a step to follow him.
Seraphine: We can’t just -
They all sit in silence for a moment before there’s a quiet knock on the door. They exchange glances before Godric goes to open it.
On the other side are a few sheepish students, Mary, Connor and Beatrice, who’ve been eavesdropping.
Mary, the eldest of the three, stands in the middle. She tries to encourage the younger students to speak up, but realises she’ll have to lead by example.
Godric’s heartstrings are getting tugged and he looks over at Sera and Helga.
Mary: But you can make it safe, and teach us what to do.
Seraphine: What about them?
Seraphine and Helga exchange soft glances.
Seraphine: Much as I hate to, I agree.
Seraphine: Such wit. We need to shield ourselves from the Muggles.
Seraphine is stunned for a moment by the fire bursting towards her, but she pulls out her wand to handle it. She’s furious, thinking that one of the students was reckless. She closes the door again and rushes back to Helga.
Seraphine: Gather all of the students.
Seraphine:No.
Helga follows Oliver without hesitation.
Seraphine:Helga…*she pauses, looking towards the jester.*
Seraphine:…You.
Godric suddenly runs in, pulling Seraphine’s attention away.
Seraphine: Fire. Yes, I know.
Seraphine:Standing here? Good question. Here’s a better one. Did you send this jester?
Seraphine looks to where Peeves just was, but he has run off.
Seraphine:Unbelievable.
Seraphine: Sentences. Yes. I know. I do it on purpose to infuriate you.
Seraphine looks around and catches a glimpse of Peeves.
She grits her teeth and draws her wand.
Seraphine: There you are.
Elsewhere in the castle
Rowan chases after Terryn until they find themselves at a dead end.
Terryn: I always did have a flair for the dramatic.
They stare each other down for a moment before Terryn quickly darts to one side. Rowan draws his wand and throws a spell sending Terryn flying backwards.
Quickly approaching footsteps draw their attention.
Godric throws a spell at Terryn…
But Terryn ducks in time. The spell hits the wall, causing a flurry of rock dust which allows Terryn to slip between them. Godric makes to go after the witch hunter, but Rowan reaches out to stop him, never having seen Godric so furious and unpredictable.
Everyone escapes the castle unharmed, but all they are too few, too inexperienced to tackle the large blaze that now engulfs great sections of the castle. Helga and Seraphine managed to protect some areas before they fled, but now all that they can do is watch as their new home burns…
Seraphine walks through the castle but stops as something catches her eye. A stranger, dressed as a court jester, stands in the castle entrance. She looks him over and folds her arms.
Seraphine: Can I help you?
Seraphine isn’t amused or impressed by the parlour trick.
Seraphine:Leave, jester.
Seraphine: I didn’t ask for a name.
Two of the students, Mary and Connor, come around the corner with Helga.
Seraphine: No, this isn’t -
Seraphine rolls her eyes and pulls out her wand ready to put an end to this. Helga halts her with a hand on the shoulder.
Seraphine: Where did he even come from?
Seraphine: Of course.
Seraphine swats his hand away as he reaches out for her chin.
Seraphine: Fine. Gather the students and let them have their fun.
Helga gathers the students while Seraphine keeps an eye on Peeves. She feels unsettled still by this stranger’s sudden appearance, but she doesn’t want to spoil everyone’s fun. When the students arrive, Peeves starts his act. The students laugh and cheer while Helga and Seraphine stay nearby.
Elsewhere in the castle
Terryn and his men split up, starting small fires across the castle.
Back at the entrance
A student, Beatrice, runs in, breathless.
Helga’s smile fades a little, from watching Peeves to looking over at Beatrice.
Seraphine: Stay. I’ll take care of it. I’ve never cared for jesters anyway.
Seraphine: It’s alright. You need to be more careful with your magic.
Seraphine: Ah, another miniature Gryffindor then.
Seraphine opens a door and fire flies toward her sending her staggering backwards.
The founders look on fondly as the students receive their wands. Thea is talking to them excitedly and showing them how to wield them.
Seraphine: I’m sure you’re proud of yourself.
Seraphine: It just might. Not worth the risk.
Helga enters looking worse for wear.
Seraphine: Why would that be the first spell you teach t-
Thea runs by shouting ‘fire’ and the founders all exchange glances.
Seraphine:*Smirking over at Godric* Well done.
Godric leaves to take care of the fire.
Seraphine: Before they burn down the castle when we haven’t even had a chance to begin yet.
Back In Huntly
Rosa is running from Terryn. She stops somewhere she can hide to catch her breath, looking around for a way out.
Rosa snaps a hand over her mouth to keep herself quiet, and Terryn catches a glimpse of her dress peeking out from behind a tree.
He stops mid-stride and smiles to himself moving forward, but there’s a sudden burst of flames beside him and he jumps back. A boy is stood a short way away, nervous but doing his best to act confident.
Terryn looks back and forth between the boy and where Rosa is hiding before sneering and gripping the Portkey to his chest.
Godric is walking alone, approaching the edge of a village. The sound of busy chatter carries on the wind, perhaps there is a market. Suddenly, a child darts out from around a building, colliding with him.
She runs off before he can say anything, the sound of what he now realises is a mob growing louder. He darts after her, catching her wrist.
Godric realises that in her panic, the child hasn’t noticed his deflective spell. He summons a fireball, to reassure her that they’re one and the same.
She takes his hand. Godric pulls her close and casts a spell around the two of them.
The air seems to wave around her for a moment. She isn’t sure what has happened, the man still stands before her as he did before. The villagers round the corner…
…and continue straight past them. The girl looks in wonder at the man who saved her.
Another man runs around the corner, looking frantic with worry.
Godric drops the concealment charm.
They lead him to Ollivander’s shop, which is through a concealed door in their home, and he’s stunned when he looks around.
Seraphine returns, sending some of the new students in. Helga watches them excitedly scurry past with a smile, before looking back for Rowan.
Oliver follows the other students off to the side, where they excitedly survey their surroundings and wait for instructions.
Seraphine: Still looking for students.
Seraphine:*Eyes narrowing* We cover more ground apart.
Seraphine:*Rolling her eyes* For goodness sake. Where’s Godric?
Seraphine:Like a child?
Seraphine:Seems fitting.
Seraphine: Well it’s either they take my word that I’ll keep their children safe, or risk them burning alive.
Seraphine:*Shrugs*
Seraphine: We can’t all be as tactful as you when it comes to Muggles, Helga.
Seraphine: They know where we are.
The Outskirts of Huntly
Rosalind is lingering behind her mother, looking at the trees when movement startles her. There’s a bright spark as she casts an accidental spell, and her mother, Millicent, quickly drags her away.
Millicent: We can’t afford accidents! Someone could have seen you.
Millicent is distracted when Rowan steps forward. She pulls the child away and takes a step forward.
Millicent goes to leave.
Rosa darts forward to take it.
Millicent:Rosalind!
Rowan:The school is called ‘Hogwarts’. Hold it, say it, and it will bring you to us. To safety.
Rowan smiles warmly at Rosa, and gives a respectful nod to her mother before leaving.
Seraphine and Rowan are walking through the neighbouring towns, looking for any signs of magical children or magical families.
Seraphine: We would save time if we were to go our separate ways, you know.
Seraphine:*Chucking incredulously* Oh, can’t you?
Seraphine:*Jokingly* Are you implying that I require your help?
Seraphine:*Smirking* You fret too much but I’m flattered that you care so much about me Rowan.
Seraphine:*Chuckling* Inconvenienced, but flattered.
Hogwarts
Helga is writing down notes for additional things for them to consider about the school. Godric is restless and trying to see how fast he can stab between his fingers.
Back In Huntly
Seraphine stops to look around. Rowan, walking behind without paying much attention, knocks into her shoulder.
Seraphine: Enough. We’re splitting up.
Seraphine: Stop it. I refuse to be bound to you like a pet.
Seraphine: I’ll Apparate back to the tower. You needn’t worry.
Rowan is hesitant, the image of Seraphine lying unconscious flashing through his mind.
Seraphine: Well you manage just fine. Besides, whose fault is it that I no longer have it?
Seraphine:*Waving him off with her hand*
Seraphine:*Reaching forward to take his hand* Draco Dormiens …
A mysterious hooded figure watches them from afar.
Found Season 2 will be posting from Friday 11th March, every Friday and Wednesday. As in Season 1, there are 11 episodes. I don’t have @siriussly-serious gifs, so all of Seraphine’s lines and some other gifs will be substituted with text. There will be no further seasons, but there may be more to the story in a different format.
