The way that they had to separate Nora from the group because they knew she’d absolutely demolish this thing before it could get Oscar is something very precious to me
their scene at the bridge is my second favorite in act three because other than it’s a cool fight, it’s also heartbreaking to see childhood friends try killing each other. we didn’t see much interaction between ekko and powder but based on the mv and the fact that both of them are brilliant in tinkering and inventing stuff, they probably bond over it and always together when ekko is not working or powder not with vi. the pocket watch that ekko swings? have the ability to rewind time and i love how they used a memory from the past and it was as if the whole thing is just reminiscing the past.
even though ekko repeatedly said that powder is gone and jinx is all that’s left, he caught a glimpse of his friend again that happy, innocent little girl who gave him a genuine smile as if she’s saying “you finally beat me!”.
remember in act one, powder showed off an amazing shooting skills and from what i can tell, powder probably always beat ekko in their game.
also noticed that’s the first and last time we saw jinx looked so at ease, untroubled because probably other than silco, jinx don’t hear voices and see images with him. (just saying since vander didn’t appear to jinx till vi mentioned him)
which made me think why she have to used a bomb when ekko’s guard is already down? blowing up stuff is her thing but with that bomb in such a close proximity to her body, jinx could die and that might be the reason of the shock look on ekko’s face. i don’t want to go there but it’s possible that jinx thought dying may not be such a bad thing since vi chose to come back for caitlyn and took it some sort of confirmation that her sister replaced her. (the tea party is like “last chance, sis who are you going to choose)
i would like to add how ekko and jinx represent the loss of innocence and children capability of violence because it’s the only way to survive in zaun.
also ravens are associated with loss, unending grief while fireflies symbolizes hope, nostalgia & innocence. both dealt with losses but ekko built something on top it while jinx destroy & hurt people due to it they’re both brilliant kids that walked on different path & at opposing side.
anyway i love both of them so much and it would be really cool if people write fics of them, be it as platonic or romantic (game lore setting or post arcane)
ps. i mean this in a nice way i know the lore because i used to play the game and been a fan of jinx since her release so don’t lecture me also i chose to explore their relationship as friends because that’s how it started between them and the crush is one sided and fleeting that can only be something more if reciprocated but that doesn’t mean i don’t want to explore their dynamic in romantic way

At least, not when it came to romance he wasn’t. Being a horror novelist did nothing in the sappy department and he tended to have more skill in sex than he did in being romantic.
