Light at the end of the station. 

Traveling by train is a lost art, at least in the U.S., but it’s one of my favorite ways to get around. There’s something so soothing about flying down the tracks, everything rushing by on the outside but calm on the inside, immersed in but disconnected from the passing scenery… So good.

I’ve been too busy organizing support for a proposed homeless shelter in Koreatown to post any photos, but here are some beautiful medium format photos taken by a really cool neighbor and friend I made! 

He’s an old-school 70s punk who hasn’t lost his sense of rebellion even now. I’m so honored to have these protests documented with real black and white film. Check out his photobook project:
