The sheer volume of time I spend listening to my mom vent about service people and the poor quality of their work and trying to provide advice on who to hire and who to fire and what to say and whether she can ask for this or that to be done, and how she should phrase it, and so on and so forth, is exhausting.

Also, I cannot seem to get through to her that she should respect workers’ weekend time. And that means unless it is an emergency, wait until Monday to call or text.

I am losing it.

You really don’t know how you would react until something happens super close to you

I saw someone being robbed. Literally one meter in front of me.

Im still shocked. It all happened super fast (dude was in a motorcycle). Me and my sister couldn’t do anything to stop the robber. We just stood there.

And the thing i felt apart from the shock? Relief that it wasn’t me. That i was lucky of not getting my cellphone out of my pocket like I usually do.

I dont know what else to say. I keep thinking of all the ways i could have helped but there’s no use because it already happened.

I don’t know what would have I done have it has been me.

And the worst? Right now, how things are in my country, it still could be me.
