Villa Imperial de Potosí. Bolivia.

Cerro Rico, the biggest silver mine of its time, cradle of the riches of the colonial world. Uncommon wealth ostentation and bloody slave labor ran through its alleys. Plated coins for kings and noblemen where minted in its bowels.

Samarkand

Look ‘round thee now on Samarcand!—
Is not she queen of Earth? her pride
Above all cities? in her hand
        Their destinies? in all beside
Of glory which the world hath known
Stands she not nobly and alone?
    Falling—her veriest stepping-stone
Shall form the pedestal of a throne—
    And who her sovereign? Timour—he
        Whom the astonished people saw
    Striding o’er empires haughtily
        A diadem’d outlaw—

Fragment of “Tamerlane” by Edgar allan Poe

A model based on a character I previously designed. This was my first completed project using 3d modeling, including the animation and the original dramatic music. It was all done in Blender (except the music, but probably in the future this could also be possible with Blender)
