#it’s just a little confusing

I think I figured out what puts me off Perky’s Buds personally.

The setting doesn’t match the tone.

Like the isolated farm setting with the backwoods cultists nearby and the intelligent birds says folk horror.

But the tone of the episode is a 90’s stoner horror so it clashes.

Because the setting relies on slow build horror but the tone is fast paced, so everything is a little off.
