craig and ashley are doing a scene from the taming of the shrew and their interpretation plays petruchio’s behavior as unambiguously abusive. for this craig dresses up as his abusive dad, suit and glasses.

this scene really shows off jake epstein’s acting skills. he does a great job mimicking craig’s dads facial expressions and the way he talks, and after the scene ends you can visibly see him reckoning with the way he just embodied the abusive aspects of his father that he personally experienced as a victim before taking the glasses off. good acting isn’t really a requirement of degrassi but this is a good one!
