So I just finished up my summer semester! I learned a lot and even surprised myself during this short timeframe. Hoping to incorporate some things that I learned into Youniverse and other comic projects to come! ^w^

This is my comic page for a newspaper we’re making in our comics and zines class! The theme is “Dreams” so I decided to go with daydreaming/imagination. My skate squad comment that I go off into my own world when I put my headphones on. They’re definitely not wrong tho so this is an interpretation of going off into the world X3

My brain is fried, but there’s still more art to do =w=

Bonus lyrical poster composition! This was experimental piece for me because I worked in textures, which I normally don’t do. But it was interesting even still.

This is a lyrical poster from class. I struggled a lot with this quite a bit during the duration of the project but I’m happy with how it came out regardless. The quote comes from The song Lucid Dream Owl city’s Cinematic Album. I adore owl city’s music so it was only fitting to do a poster to it ;w;

This was also very experimental piece for me because I worked in textures, which I normally don’t do. But it was interesting even still.

So I’m realizing I never shared Youniverse’s original cover art in Tumblr so you guys get the Complete Updated Cover first X3!

Here’s a Series Summary:

Sentient beings known as remnants pass on their energies to continue the expanse of the universe. In the last billion years ,these energies haven’t been enough, and the corners of the universe are collapsing. ​ Astrid, a newborn remnant, is discovered with the potential to provide these energies for the dying universe. She may be new to her existence but she wants nothing more than to protect her home. With the help of other remnants, will Astrid be able to keep the universe from coming undone.

I started my webcomic series officially last year when we went into lockdown. I’ve since been between this and my graphic design major in college. I’ve learned a lot since then and am in the process of picking up where I left off and hopefully getting to a point where I find a good baclance between webcomic work and school!

What I do when I’m not drawing X3

I love skating in my spare time. I usually share my skating shenanigans on my FB and Insta story feeds so I thought I’d share on here as well. This weekend I actually did some outdoor drawing and decided to do some skating too! it was the best of both worlds lol

I have some skate related art projects planned for the summer so I’ll be sharing some of my skate endeavors along the way >w<

Sharing some school related works today!

This was from my Enlivened Spaces Class Called “The Inner Child”. The Idea I pitched idea ended up being the project we did for the semester so I was project manager. My objective was to create a interactive space based on a social injustice. I personally believe that anxiety is a social injustice since society frowns upon expressing these feeling and reaching out. I wanted to created a safe space for students to relax and heal from anxiety and stress. While the pandemic left us with a small crew we managed to finish it. I have a comic idea for this that I plan to use for my senior portfolio but for now I love looking back to this project because it taught me so much about setbacks, what it takes to be a great leader, and to working with artist of all kinds!

Don’t let the umbrellas fool you because they are welded from pencil wire (Yes I know how to weld LOL) so they’re heavy XD here’s a timelapse of me setting one of them up

I’m still going through all the footage I took working on this so I’ll share more. (Maybe some throwback Tuesday or Thursday?? idk)
