#imagineering
I’m officially making today Tony Baxter Day! (on this blog at least lol) So if you see something that isn’t necessarily from disneyland or from more recent decades today that’s why :)
For those of you that don’t know, getting your name on a Main St. window is one of the highest honors an imagineer can receive. While you don’t have to be an imagineer to get one, windows are reserved for people who have played an instrumental role in creating the magic at Disneyland. Tony already has a window at Disneyland Paris but if you ask me this window at Disneyland is long overdue!
Sharing some school related works today!
This was from my Enlivened Spaces Class Called “The Inner Child”. The Idea I pitched idea ended up being the project we did for the semester so I was project manager. My objective was to create a interactive space based on a social injustice. I personally believe that anxiety is a social injustice since society frowns upon expressing these feeling and reaching out. I wanted to created a safe space for students to relax and heal from anxiety and stress. While the pandemic left us with a small crew we managed to finish it. I have a comic idea for this that I plan to use for my senior portfolio but for now I love looking back to this project because it taught me so much about setbacks, what it takes to be a great leader, and to working with artist of all kinds!
Don’t let the umbrellas fool you because they are welded from pencil wire (Yes I know how to weld LOL) so they’re heavy XD here’s a timelapse of me setting one of them up
I’m still going through all the footage I took working on this so I’ll share more. (Maybe some throwback Tuesday or Thursday?? idk)
Concept drawings for Disneyland Paris attraction, PHANTOM MANOR by Fernando Tenedora, Julie Svendsen and Christian Hope.
That last image, by Tenedora, is slightly hazy but I can’t seem to find a better version.
