My first real introduction to Green Lantern as a character was through cartoons (JLU), so John Stewart is the default one in my mind.

Beyond his art, Neal Adams is rightfully remembered as an eternal champion of creators’ rights and for the part he & his work played in the Comics Code revision of ‘71 but his contribution to John Stewart’s creation is – I think – a rather underrated aspect of his career, especially as it’s such a great reminder of the kind of person he was. i would trust this man with my life, my soul, my social security number, the details of my bank account, the deed to my house, etc etc
i feel like not enough people know/appreciate the fact that hal and john got into a bar fight in coast city before either of them were lanterns. it is now canonically the first time they ever met. hal got his ass handed to him. dc please acknowledge this again
