Day 13 #29DaysofBlackCosplay Green Lantern John Stewart coming to a con near you soon as the weather warms up and he can spray his boots green. haha I tried making my eyes green in the pic but I’m no good at using these apps. I also thought of doing his costume from his first appearance with that mini fro but wigs can be so hot and I couldn’t grow my hair so long.

My first real introduction to Green Lantern as a character was through cartoons (JLU), so John Stewart is the default one in my mind.

Beyond his art, Neal Adams is rightfully remembered as an eternal champion of creators’ rights and for the part he & his work played in the Comics Code revision of ‘71 but his contribution to John Stewart’s creation is – I think – a rather underrated aspect of his career, especially as it’s such a great reminder of the kind of person he was.
