Having left the mantle of Robin behind him, Dick Grayson moved to Gotham City’s sister city of Bludhaven, unknown to him however, he was followed by one of Batman’s most mentally formidable rogues.
The hero had just finished moving his boxes into his new apartment when he heard a knock at his door, he wrote it off as a new neighbor and opened it, only to be met by a familiar figure clad in a green suit covered in purple question marks.
Dick was too slow to react as The Riddler’s question mark cane swept his legs out from under him, leaving the hero on the ground as The Riddler climbed atop him. Having managed to regain his bearings, Dick managed to shove Riddler off of him and get back to his feet sprinting to grab on of his batons only to feel the question mark of the cane wrap around his ankle and drop him to the floor again, his baton sliding across the room.
This time the villain made sure to use his cane to pin the hero to the ground by his neck. Dick fought until the last second as The Riddler placed a stolen and modified hat from The Mad Hatter atop Dick’s head. The hero’s mind was quickly rewritten, and soon The Riddler would reduce the Batman’s mind to that of a simple plaything as he trained the former sidekick to become the new Riddler.
