Um…okay so update on where I’m at in the world of KI. I started playing p101 again and was (once more) saddened to see it abandoned. So I decided I was going to tweet Ratbeard and Kingsisle daily until there was an update. Now. I wasn’t expecting any recognition for my tweets until like…..day 214 or something but its only day 6 and ratbeard has liked TWO of them. I haven’t prepared myself for actually talking to a dev so my anxiety is like skyrocketing and I’m terribly shy but also, is this it? Are our thoughts and prayers for p101 being heard!?!!?! THERE’S A KI LIVE UPDATE THIS WEEK, WILL THEY COMMENT ON IT??? I’m shaking. fa;iasldkfjasg

Idk if you guys have heard, but there’s a revival movement for Pirate101 happening the week of the 24th! Basically, people are going to flood the servers to promote the game as well as to get KI’s attention. Maybe this will bring about a long-anticipated update to the game that we’ve all been hoping for…

And there’s a newly-created discord server about the revival project that can be reached with this link: https://discord.com/invite/ARhsR4eEvt

I know a few Pirate101 streamers will be doing their thing before and during the revival week, especially @faeriequeens on YouTube, but I expect even more will join her. I think there’s also a bunch of information on the r/Pirate101 Reddit, which is easily discoverable.

As for myself, I’ll still be posting the Animals of the Spiral series here, but I’ll also be including the hashtag #RevivePirate101 on all of my posts to add to the movement. I’ll also be playing online during the week of the 24th, and I implore you all to do the same.

Hopefully we’ll get at least some reaction out of the devs- we’ve been neglected for far too long. Please spread the word and get the movement going!

Hey guys, so I thought I’d share some news about Kingsisle if you haven’t heard.

They are being bought out by a group called MGI for 126 million!

Now, this can mean several things, (as stated on their website regarding the KI buy out,) that they are going to put a focus on KIs MMOs, (that being wiz and pirate,) and decrease the attention that KI has been giving to mobile games.

Plus the company is well compensating KI, and not just buying them to make them into something else. They are investing into KI, so that KI can focus on what makes them money, that being Pirate101 & Wizard101.

So, more updates perhaps? Especially once this buy out gets rolling :)
