Charity stream for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation

I’m currently on my way toward being a Twitch affiliate. In fact, I’m very close to getting there! I need to stream for a few more days this month, and I need 15 more followers

Once I reach affiliate status, I want to make my very first affiliate stream count. I’m going to be doing a charity stream for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Breast cancer has mad a significant impact in my life, as mu grandmother passed away a few years ago after being diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer.

If anyone would be willing to follow my Twitch, or share this post to spread the word, I will be incredibly grateful. I want to get the word out as much as possible, so that we can all aid in helping to donate to a good cause.

For anyone interested, my Twitch is https://m.twitch.tv/honeykitt/profile

I’m always amazed at people that consume media while simultaneously telling the creators of that media that they don’t deserve money for creating it.

Photographers deserve to be paid. Actors deserve to be paid. Painters deserve to be paid. Digital artists deserve to be paid.

People create art because it’s their passion, but they need to pay their bills like everyone else. If you feel like artists shouldn’t be paid because “they should’ve chosen another career path” then maybe you should stop consuming art.

Pay your artists. Pay their commissions, pay the amount in their contracts, pay them for their work. They spent years of studying and practicing to make something wonderful. Don’t demand their product and expect them to walk away feeling accomplished because you “paid them in experience/ exposure”.

If they have a price listed, then you know their listed price. Pay it and move on. Don’t haggle with someone’s livelihood. They’re most likely short-changing themselves in the first place and asking them to go lower is insulting.

Sometimes in life we’re given amazing, wonderful, life-altering things. Sometimes it changes our entire perspective, sometimes it just feels like a friend that gives you a shoulder to cry on. These things can feel like the thing you need to continue on. They give your life a purpose that you never knew you needed. Sometimes these amazingly wonderful things make you feel less alone in your empty house, and they fill your lonely thoughts

But these things don’t always exist to maintain permanence. Sometimes it exists to make you feel less alone in the moment. Sometimes they offer what you need in a moment of crisis. Sometimes these things exist for the sole purpose of keeping you going for another day, until something else can take over.

Just because these things, or these people, don’t maintain permanence in your life doesn’t mean that they weren’t important while they were there. Some of the most important things in life don’t last forever.

In fact, most things in life come to and end before we want them to, but it doesn’t make those things bad.

Sometimes relationships weren’t meant to be, sometimes friends grow apart, sometimes items of importance get broken and need to be thrown away, sometimes our favorite shows get cancelled.

But just because things aren’t the same anymore, it doesn’t make those important things in our lives are any less important when they’re gone.

Sometimes past relationships will teach you hard lessons going forward. And faded friendships will give you insight for friends going forward.

Everything that you consider important now will still be important in your life’s story when you’re older. It’ll remind you of your lessons, and of your joy. It’ll bring you some happiness and wisdom as you continue to navigate through life. These things are important, and their longevity has no influence over their importance.

I really hate the rhetoric of people saying “it’s not men that do that, it’s boys”. If a man abuses someone, they’re called a boy, like they lost their “man card” for doing something heinous. This doesn’t break them down because you took their “man card”, all it does is inadvertently say “men can do no wrong”.

Mencan do wrong. Men do wrong a lot. You aren’t breaking an abusers ego by calling them a boy; you’re invalidating the victim by saying that an entire demographic is incapable of wrongdoing, even though the victim was wronged by that demographic.

Stop making comments like “men don’t do that, only boys do that” or “real men respect women, only boys cause harm”.

This blog is anti-Tumblr+ and will stay that way

If coffee is zoom juice for me, would it also be zoom juice for my other plants?

Sigh. I’m really tired of dudes that I find immensely attractive giving me just enough attention to think they’re interested and when I start to reciprocate said attention and interest, they turn off and go cold.

I’m so fucking sick of being someone’s chase.

If you don’t wanna be my finish as well as my chase, just leave me the fuck alone.
