#knit wear

LIVE

Making some really great progress on the sleeves of my Weekender! Really excited to get this off the needles in time to wear it for the last bit of cold weather!

I feel like I’m never going to finish this hat.

Hey, so I have been going Live over on TikTok on Monday nights. It’s a chill knit and hang. Feel free to come over and join any time. Ask questions or share your current WIPS.

Mondays EST 8pm-9pm

Finished the mitts. I love them. I have been wearing them regularly and I just adore the fit and style.

Fingerless mitts improvised pattern.

Casting on the sleeves!!! Y’all! I might have a sweater finished very soon

These sweet little hand warmers are coming along so well! Now I just got to complete the second one…

How many times do you have to cast on a project before it’s right? I think this is the fourth try. It’s just a simple 1x1 ribbed hat, and you would think I can handle that! Nope, it’s like rocket science. Can’t figure out the gauge (because honestly who is checking?) Can’t create a neat cast on edge… etc etc. Crossing my fingers and hoping this is the one!

Making some progress with my Weekender sweater. Not sure why I lack motivation to get this finished. I’m super close to having the body done. Maybe it’s just that I’m not excited about it because it just looks like a weird ugly lump of knitting right now… I should probably do a try on test, that might get me pumped up!

A little update on my fingerless gloves. Scrunchy lovely knitting :)

Using some Woolly Mammoth Fibre Co yarn I have had in my stash forever.

The main reason I can get zero knitting done. These boys rule this house.

Looking for cute knitting stickers? Well… I sell some in my Etsy shop! One of a WIP sticker set and the other is a Yarn set. They are vinyl and laminated :)

How can you not be in love with this yarn!!! A lovely gift from a friend. Purchased on her trip to Alaska. I can’t freaking wait to cast something on.

One of the only Christmas presents I handmade. It was originally supposed to be a hat, but I ran out of yarn. So I opted for a headband. I embroidered some flowers, added beads, and lined it with flannel.

This gift was extra special because the yarn was harvested from sheep kept at the farm (where I work) and I dyed it with elderberries from the property. So, getting to give it to the owner of the farm was pretty cool.

Back to swatching for my reknit of the Outline Tank by @jessemadedesigns I didn’t quite get it right the first knit round. But hopefully this second try (and more concentration) I will find a fit that I like! I would love to have this to wear this summer.

Test knitting my friends shawl pattern. Like all knitting projects these days, it’s taking me ages. Also kinda stuck on what color I should stripe in next. I have a blue… but maybe I should just stick with the white?

He’s a gentleman and his name is Robert.

All finished

Love that these two pieces ended up going so well together! An absolute win.

Sweater: Weekender by Andrea Mowry, yarn is by Madeline Tosh

Vest: patterned and sewn and embroidered by me. Frog fleece from JoAnns. Buttons from Etsy.

Here we go! Blocking my Weekender. I’m really hoping that blocking will magically fix everything I don’t like about the fit of this sweater. Maybe this is why you don’t wait like five years to knit a sweater… personal styles change
