Falsified propaganda confection letters from American POWs during the Korean War. The language they us does not sound like what an American soldier would write.

This is a photo of sergeant first class (SFC) loading an American propaganda leaflet bomb. It contained thousands of leaflets that offered a safe surrender the the UN coalition forces. This type of psychological war fair was used in other armed conflicts such as the Vietnam War. They could also be dropped out of a hatch of helicopter of airplane.

An American B-29 bombs industrial North Korean targets

In this Dec. 4, 1950 photo, residents from Pyongyang, North Korea, and refugees from other areas crawl perilously over the shattered girders of the city’s bridge as they flee south across the Taedong River to escape the advance of Chinese Communist troops. The Chinese entered the Korean War as allies of North Korea. U.S. troops battled on the side of South Korea. Begun in June 25, 1950, the war ended on July 27, 1953, with a military demarcation line set near the 38th parallel where it started.

The 31st Infantry lands at Inchon

Sikorsky HRS-1 is a unarmed transport helicopter.  Undergoing tests such as medical evacuation, tactical control and front-line cargo support, the helicopter succeeded admirably in surpassing the capabilities of the H-5 Dragonfly which had been used throughout the war by the Army

This photo probably was taken when the first squadron was being formed in the late 1940s after orders came down to organize a developmental helicopter squadron with 12 aircraft, in order to study helicopter employment  in amphibious operations.

Korea during World Ward II was occupied by Japan. The U.S. and Russia split Korea in half in the processes of expelling Japaneses troops from the country. The U.S. would come from the South and Russia from the North, meeting at the 38th parallel. Later being very close to the DMZ (Demilitarized Zone) which is still here today.
