• • •   “is that thing on? i really feel old in face of all this technology…” the top of a head appears in sight of the camera, pitch black hair is the only thing visible aside for the white ceiling. a hand also appears a moment later, the fingers playing with a small strand of hair. another voice can be heard - a male one this time - and he mentions she shouldn’t complain as she’s younger than him. the camera is shaking, for a mere second there’s too much movement to make out anything but splashes of colors and white and black. then the frame stadies again and in sight comes a girl in her midtwenties - the same black hair as before and the same hand playing nervously with it. “now do your thing!” the male voice bellows, amusement heard all too well in his tone as the girl looks around confused. “so it’s working..?” she waits for a second and pulls her clothes straight then, a bright smile suddenly stuck to her lips. the lost girl is long gone, it feels like she was never there to begin with. “my name is kim hyun-jung. just like the famous singer singing ‘you who left’. i’m a student at our fabulous seoul national university and majoring in korean language and literature. also i’m 25 years old but i don’t look like that, right?” her hand goes to her face to show her youthful skin and she’s winking at the camera. “i’m pleased to meet you and sure you will be just as delighted to meet me. you’ll know my name before the masses so i will repeat it to make sure you remember: i’m kim hyun-jung!”
