Beta canon (er, if Eaglemoss booklets are beta canon) has given an origin story for La Sirena that contradicts mine.
And, yes, it’s terribly “small galaxy” for me to write Tom Paris as having designed the ship and taken Cris for a test drive …
But … sigh … I still have a soft spot for my version of how Cristóbal Rios came to hear the siren song of La Sirena:
