How much do I adore this aesthetic @regionalpancake made for my Rios/Jurati ficlet? So, so much! The blues and greys, the smoky air, the perfect representation of story elements — I love it all. Thank you, thank you, thank you @regionalpancake. I am humbled and honored by your talent.

Them: What’cha doin’?

Me: Staring at an aesthetic that my wonderful, thoughtful, brilliant friend made for a fanfic I wrote about how a starship got its name and two broken people decided to take a chance and find love with each other.

Them: What?

Me: What?

Cris remembered screaming then, the giant mecha being ripped apart, and the resulting explosion.

“You shouldn’t have gone out there,” Agnes chided gently. “We’ve done what we can, but if you pilot one more time, it will kill you.”

“But I do have one last flight in me,” he checked.

Agnes’s mouth pressed into an unhappy line.

“I should be pissed at you for doing that,” Raffi interjected. “But who knows how the battle would have gone if you weren’t there. We might have lost more.”

Tag-teaming the amazing @regionalpancake for a truly magnificent transformation of this sketch <3 <3 <3

See below the Season 2 fix-it proposal that this relates to.

After finding out all the mess that happened, the holos decide to take matters into their own hands. Ian devises portable emitters that can be disguised as a 21st century brief case. So, the holos demerge, leaving Emmet to cover for them (so no one intervenes), then Enoch figures out a way to take them back in time, and they rock up to bring Rios home. This is their 21st century disguise because they’re pros at this.
