What happened in 2020..?
We call true victims “fake news” “conspiracy theory’s”

Yet allow entitled NOT VICTIMS, more often than not CRIMINALS act like “victims” and get handed every thing for free…

Funny how this “virus” #plandemic2020 has shown everyone’s LACK OF EMPATHY…

It’s the year of hypocrisy, entitlement, lies and violence.

All the while true victims like this brave young lady go unheard.

Where’s the “riots” for the other 20387394 more pressing issues we deal with everyday ..? Since the beginning of damn time.

Posted @withregram • @angelzonyourpillow End the silence ⁣

If native women are more than twice as likely to experience violence than any other demographic, why is not being talked about?⁣
There comes a time where enough is enough . If you are remaining silent about this, you are apart of the issue.⁣

eles são amigos

my draw this in your style challenge (DTIYS) to celebrate 10k on my instagram!

GUIDE: try your hand at this scene of a yanomami girl (from a people whose territory straddles the Brazilian / Venezuelan border) hanging out with a jaguar. Use the hashtag #biophoniesDTIYS & say where you’re from (bonus if you are on native land & can name which tribe(s)! I will share the results & send a postcard with a drawing to some of my favorites.

Only 5% of the world’s population is comprised of indigenous people living on their ancestral land. But these people protect 80% of the planet’s biodiversity, the heart and health of the earth itself. Almost all these people & the nonhuman life they exist with are under threat by either militant border security or capitalist “development”, leading to murders, burned / razed forests and polluted water. South American indigenous people account for a huge portion of these defenders, and I wanted to honor that.

yet another reason to give the #landback

looking forward to your entries bless up

We ask you today to honor Indigenous people and the Lands we hold sacred. We ask you to help us amplify our voices over the white noise of Settler Colonial manipulation programming. We ask that in your amplification you dig deeper and become familiar with Indigenous 2Spirit, Trans, Queer, Gender Nonconforming, Non-Binary, and Feminist/Matriarchal voices FIRST AND FOREMOST. We ask that in your prioritization of these communities you understand this is a direct request to dismantle heteropatriachal and hetero cis gendered supremacist complacency. We ask that you respect Indigenous uprising, fight for #IndigenousSovereignty and Land Stewardship reclamation, Afro-Indigenous Solidarity, Black Liberation, and also continue amplify Black voices and #BlackLivesMatter every hour or every day!

WHATS GOING ON IN WEST PAPUA ⓦ〽️
✊✊✊✊✊✊✊ ⁣⁣⠀

⁣⁣⠀
For almost 60 years West Papua has been under colonial rule by Indonesia. Indonesia is committing ecocide and genocide in West Papua; because they have barred human rights organizations, researchers and diplomats from entering West Papua they have been able to hide the rampant anti-Blackness, barbaric executions, police and military terrorism, and structural elimination that West Papuans face. But the tide is changing. ⁣⁣⠀
⁣⁣⠀
•⁣⁣⠀
⁣⁣⠀
Over 500,000 West Papuans have been killed under Indonesian rule and hundreds of thousands have been displaced and/or structurally eliminated via employment discrimination, inequitable health care, forced sterilization, lack of educational opportunities and rampant anti-Blackness. West Papuans are largely restricted in their speech and freedom of expression being arrested for protesting peacefully and intense sentencing just for raising their West Papuan Morning Star flag. ⁣⁣⠀
⁣⁣⠀
•⁣⁣⠀
⁣⁣⠀
Indonesia and its western exploitative partners have put the environment in jeopardy due to anti-Black and anti-Indigenous capitalist ventures. While Indonesia makes the majority of its GDP from these endeavors, West Papua sees none of this money and remains the poorest “province” of Indonesia. Mines, illegal logging as well as oil exploration pollute the terrain and estuaries with dumping and waste. ⁣⁣⠀
⁣⁣⠀
•⁣⁣⠀
⁣⁣⠀
Please follow our family @freewestpapua to learn more about the West Papuan struggle for liberation. Please also stay tuned here @onediasporacoalition as we will continue to amplify the voices and fight of our West Papuan family until freedom comes. As African peoples no one is free until we are all free; thus, it is our duty to support our siblings in their quest for self-determination and independence. ⁣⁣Via: @onediasporacoalition

ah, i’m so bad at posting here. acknowledging this Day of Mourning from the lands of Kiikaapoi, Peoria, Potawatomi, Myaamia & Ochethi Sakowin people, aka Chicago, derived from a native word for garlic (mmm…) which is really suitable for me because I live here now ✨

whose.land are you on? talk about it over dinner this weekend with your fam & what it means to give the #landback. considering everything, listening & learning from indigenous people is the least you can do.

I have been fortunate to be working with the @bigbendconservationalliance and the Lipan Apache Tribe

I have been fortunate to be working with the @bigbendconservationalliance and the Lipan Apache Tribe of Texas on this important piece of land in Presidio, TX. The municipality gave the #landback to the Apache because it is a traditional burial area. I am designing a “fence” to protect this area and allow future interment. Please consider donating to this worthy cause. Link in bio. #indigenousarchitecture #design #art #apache #indigenous #cornelius #gofundme #archdaily #architecture #3dscanning

landback

Cancelling Canada Day is literally the bare fucking minimum symbolic gesture of basic decency , not some extreme radical position of the far left.

We’ve uncovered over a thousand unmarked graves for children, with countless more to go. What the fuck is there to celebrate?

Celebrate the founding of Canada? That’s celebrating the colonialism & white supremacy that created the systems that lead to those children’s murder & abuse.

celebrate where we are now? How many indigenous people live without clean water? How many residential school survivors are still stuck in court battles with the gov? How many indigenous people are *still* being murdered by the RCMP today?

So yeah, cancel canada day. But also, remember that’s a bare minimum and just symbolic. Fight for material change & decolonialization. Support Land Back movements, Support protests to abolish the RCMP. Give money to indigenous mutual aid networks.
