This painting was definitely a lesson in letting go of that which is not working and being willing to make big changes, even to things you’ve invested a lot of time in. Like painting clouds. I realized this piece was just not right yet, so I abandoned it for two months and came back. I played around with it in procreate and realized I needed to overhaul the background… And I’m so glad I did!

Did a thing for this painting and made a digital mock up because I wanted really specific lighting. It turned out good, definitely a useful step!

It was really fun doing this one, as as human being obviously I love the movie (more than the book to be totally honest lol)
