like she wasn’t just having a go at him for the hell of it or because his ship was a likely target, no no, Leia takes one look at Han’s ship and knows exactlyhow crap it is
just little leia’s face when obi wan tells her he is not her father, the absolute disappointment on this little baby’s face because she just wants to find the place where she belongs and who she is and at every turn she is denied it
I really like a little thing Obi-Wan does here since he can’t give her the answers she seeks: he tells her that after he was taken from his home, the Jedi became his new family, the same way the Organas became Leia’s. It goes a long way to help a child feel like it’s okay to move forward and appreciate what they do have in their life.
Do you guys think about the fact that Padmé named her daughter Leia which basically means angel, and the first time Anakin met Padmé, he asked her if she were an angel? Because I think about that a lot.
I remember the first time we saw Leia meet Vader in the OT, Leia said, “Darth Vader, only you could be so bold.” I always felt like it meant she had interacted with him before at least on one occasion. They did seem familiar with each other, albeit very antagonistic. And now Reva has Leia and we might get little Leia coming face-to-face with Vader for the first time, and the prospect has me screeching in excitement but also crying because she’s been wondering who her real father was and what he was like, and she will only ever know him as a villain.
What a long wait it’s been for this show and it’s finally arrived! So many incredible moments from episode 1 alone and incredibly nostalgic! However it didn’t feel forced, and the slow pace is really helping this story so much! Absolutely in love! Check out my reaction!
also okay okay listen i’m just as on board of “aw baby leia is showing so much of anakin and padmé’s traits” but let’s not also forget that she is just as much an organa as she is a skywalker don’t forget how breha teases bail of how leia’s just like bail don’t forget how bail tells leia that she is absolutely an organa and not to let anyone else tell her that don’t forget that adopted parents are 1000% just as much parents and that they count just as much in shaping leia organa to the fierce little girl she is!
