“I don’t know how to explain, but I had a dream… (…) When I woke, I went to the Chantry’s gardens, as I always do. But that day, the rose bush in the corner had flowered. Everyone knew that bush was dead. It was grey and twisted and gnarled - the ugliest thing you ever saw, but there it was - a single, beautiful rose. It was as though the Maker stretched out his hand to say ‘Even in the midst of this darkness, there is hope and beauty. Have faith.’”
– Leliana on why she joined forces with the Warden (Dragon Age: Origins)
This comic has been sitting in my WIP folder for literal YEARS (since I finished DA:O for the first time back in 2017). And I’ve learned a few things about myself while working on this on and off.
The main reason why it’s taken so long is because I just can’t get character dialogues down properly. Either that or I keep changing the dialogues because they always sound so weird and stilted in my head. I also kept playing around with drawing styles and colouring styles - and every time that happened, I would restart the whole comic from scratch. Idk why I wanted it to be perfect even though it’s such a dumb comic. Anyway, enjoy! and ignore how Talia’s scars seem to disappear and reappear between panels. I might as well just get rid of them
