We are so excited to share this update with all our supporters who helped us secure the first half of the new land. Even as all the construction work continues, we are almost done building one of the pools for our rescued elephants to splash around in at the Field Of Dreams!

We think “Field of Dreams” is the perfect name for our project expanding the elephant sanctuary. Why? One of the first things rescued eles do when they arrive at our sanctuary is lie down and go into a deep sleep. Just look at Mia below! It’s the first time in years that some of these eles have been able to rest on the soft earth without chains. We’re currently building the Field of Dreams with pools and shelters to make it as healing a home as possible, but we need to expedite the process before the monsoons come. Dell has recently partnered with #WildlifeSOS to organize employee engagement activities at our #BannerghattaBearRescueCenter and is also contributing towards the feeding of the bears as part of their CSR (Corporate Social Responsibly) initiative. Recently a group of employees from DELL-Bangalore extended their support and lend a hand to our rescued sloth bears by volunteering at our center in Bangalore, Karnataka.

Take Action: This ‘dancing bear’ was 'rescued’ with one other bear in December. The other bear has died and this one is wallowing in a dingy cage. It is outrageous that he could also die from horrible conditions after surviving many years as a dancing bear. Please tell the Nepal government to transfer the bear immediately to us! We have rescued and rehabilitated over 600 'dancing bears.’ We will go get him. https://e-activist.com/page/21298/action/1
