Help us reach 25,000 signatures for Laxmi. Once we hit that number we will do a major press-release showing that there is a groundswell of people who demand justice for her. Laxmi died from starvation and from severe beatings. Charges need to be filed against her abusers. Public awareness and pressure will help. https://e-activist.com/page/19919/petition/1
Thank you!

We think “Field of Dreams” is the perfect name for our project expanding the elephant sanctuary. Why? One of the first things rescued eles do when they arrive at our sanctuary is lie down and go into a deep sleep. Just look at Mia below! It’s the first time in years that some of these eles have been able to rest on the soft earth without chains. We’re currently building the Field of Dreams with pools and shelters to make it as healing a home as possible, but we need to expedite the process before the monsoons come. Can you help us give these once-tortured elephants the sweetest dreams? goo.gl/nvTDHA

This elephant deserves justice — sign our petition today at https://goo.gl/wEfhZ8

In Motihari, Bihar, India an elephant named Laxmi (not our Laxmi at our rescue center in Mathura) died in extreme pain and horrific isolation after suffering her entire life at the hands of cruel humans. She was illegally captured from the wild, then tortured and allowed to wither away, denied the care that would have saved her life. Such illegal trafficking, neglect, and severe abuse of elephants is intolerable, and a precedent must be set.

It breaks our hearts to know we could not reach her in time, but we believe that she deserves justice — even if she never saw a single day of freedom. Please let the Chief Wildlife Warden of Bihar know that illegal trafficking, neglect, and severe abuse of elephants like Laxmi is intolerable, and a precedent must be set. Demand justice for Laxmi.

Its trivia time!

This month marks the three year anniversary of Peanut’s rescue from the cruel life of a circus elephant. Do you know what her name was before she was rescued by Wildlife SOS?

Take Action: This ‘dancing bear’ was 'rescued’ with one other bear in December. The other bear has died and this one is wallowing in a dingy cage. It is outrageous that he could also die from horrible conditions after surviving many years as a dancing bear. Please tell the Nepal government to transfer the bear immediately to us! We have rescued and rehabilitated over 600 'dancing bears.’ We will go get him. https://e-activist.com/page/21298/action/1

Lakhi has left behind many broken hearts around the world and it will take a while for the sadness to lift, and for any semblance of normalcy to return to our lives here at #WildlifeSOS. We will truly miss the kind soul that defined so many of our lives.
We know you are all mourning her loss and we ask that you keep her in your thoughts always. We wish to remember her free and happy, and surrounded by elephants that were her family. For all our supporters who would like to know more about our beloved elephant Lakhi, who passed away recently, here is a remembrance:http://wildlifesos.org/…/bidding-adieu-to-our-beloved-elep…/

It is with very heavy hearts that we report our cherished friend, Lakhi, has just passed away. Her passing was sudden and unexpected.

As we struggle to find words to express the grief we feel at her loss, we hope you find some comfort in knowing that she was not alone at the time — she was surrounded by the elephants who have been her family and friends for the last 3 years. She died in the company of those who loved her and looked out for her.

Please join us in lighting a candle for our dear friend. We know you will miss her as much as we will.

We will update you more in a couple of days. For now, we hope you remember her the way we do: as the gentlest of giants, full of life, always affectionately touching the elephants close to her.

Rest in peace, dear friend.

I am ashamed of being human. I don’t mean to start an argument of meat eating either, all I want is for someone to say “no to cruelty and torture”, something that isn’t even given to child molesters.

This article left me screaming, five hours later I am still crying. I am asking you to please sing the petition, and caution you on the graphic nature of the video.

No animal, no matter what they might be should never be treated like this.

Also, some of us don’t view rabbits as meat, but pets like many view cats or dogs. I hope that you all help in the better treatment of animals, thank you very much.

My recent night routine since I want to use this Shea butter I found in my soaps, I received it as a present a while ago but misplaced it. And I noticed it was a mix in heaven, paired with this @weleda moisture lotion from Xmas. (@weleda_japan is too expensive is Japan!!) So this is all vegan, cruelty free and it’s as good for the planet as it is for your sensitive skin. I’m so in love with this at the moment. What’s your night routine ?
No need to hurt animals with clinical testing if the harsh chemicals in the expensive products we get sold too much for the shit it is, isn’t gonna hurt us. Just think : If they need clinical testing, it’s probably not good for you. Like all those face products to “avoid around the eye area” when this is where we need nourishment too. We need to ask ourselves more questions about what we use on our skin and what we put in our body.
I’ll go back getting my usual Lush stuff soon but it’s Golden Week starting tomorrow so I certainly want to avoid the shopping mall as much as possible.
