#lestat x louis

Yet another comic re-draw. I can’t get enough! 

And if Louis looks like a precious Disney prince who must be protected at all costs, that’s because he is.

This is a small portion of a larger part of a page dedicated to the turning of Louis. It stuck out to me in particular because of their poses and their faces–Louis’ cute lil’ face feeding on Lestat’s wrist is so sweet, almost in a breastfeeding kind of way, but the phrasing of Lestat’s words and his facial expression give it a more sexual edge. 

I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but I’m on a bit of a “Lestat x Louis shared pain” kick lately, hence this scene from “Interview with the Vampire.”

In the book, Lestat is nearby, but not standing next to Louis with his hand on his shoulder–this is something I added to emphasize their shared loss. 

I promise my next post will be more upbeat, although I could accomplish that by posting pretty much anything other than this.

The “Royal Wedding” Epilogue, Page Two. (See my previous post for the cover and first page, plus my commentary.)

TITLE: “Take Your Shirt Off”

Pretty much what the title suggests. There’s a lion on the hunt for the perkiest lil’ sad man tits in the jungle!

TITLE: “Louis Rescued”

Lestat has successfully resurrected Louis with his blood after his attempt at suicide left him burnt to ashes in his coffin. In the process, the powerful blood has eliminated much of the “human-ness” in Louis, making him more statuesque with extremely iridescent eyes. 

And so, despite being rescued, a part of Louis has been forever lost. Lestat describes his changes later, but for the moment, he is just focused on the fact that Louis has survived.

Happy Easter. I don’t know what Lestat and Louis in Versace robes has to do with it, but I offer you this nonetheless.

I kind of gave up on what to color it, but the line-art was too cute not to share.

In using a “clap light,” Louis just conveniently clapped us into a much improved color palette. (The previous pages, in my opinion, really REALLY sucked so I did some tinkering.)

As Lestat flips his shit over the thought of his Beautiful One yanking his crank to his pampered head of blonde hair, let Louis sweetly explain to you the merits of his “Top 10” lubes.
