When I was creating Raven back before Little Nightmares 2 came out, I was planning out how she would look like and how will she act.
A part of me really wanted to make her be different from any other child character in little nightmares. Apart from the peculiar red eyes I gave her, I was actually wondering if to either make her blind or deaf too. Being blind didn’t work out for my plans so I thought if to make her deaf instead. It would have been interesting honestly, but then I figured it would have been difficult to communicate with The Janitor if she had to stumble upon him on The Maw, so I decided to leave her as she is and just give her unnaturally red eyes.
Now I’m honestly wondering, how would Raven be if she was deaf? Or partially deaf? Would she be able to mumble out stuff? Would she have owned a hearing aid to help her hear a bit better while still using sign language? Would she struggle to communicate since not everyone understands sign language? Would she be scared of people’s intentions since she can’t hear?
Suddenly I just wonder…What if Raven was deaf?
