Today I am wearing a short red bowling shirt tucked into my high waisted, black and white checkered skirt. I love the 50’s feel and am very excited to have found such cheap vintage pieces.

Last week I wore my new shag cardigan from Forever 21 with a plain white V-neck underneath. People kept petting me and taking the cardigan because it is so soft. I tucked my t-shirt into my high waisted jeans and wore my black combat boots with floral linings.

The other day I wore my handmade velvet skirt along with my new sweater from Target that has built-in pockets. I’ve never seen a shirt/sweater that has pockets like this before, I love it! I also wore my black statement necklace from Charlotte Russe along with my Rocket Dog black flats. This is my first time not wearing tights or thigh highs this year; welcome Spring!

Yesterday I made a skirt out of an old pair of jeans! It is high waisted, has a zipper in the back, and flares out in a boxy shape at the bottom. I’m really proud of myself for coming up with the idea and being able to make it without any online help.

I bought these boots in black a couple months ago and wore them so much that I ordered them in camel last week. (Sadly, they are now out of stock in black.) I love them both so much! I ordered the black in a 7.5 and they were a little snug, so I ordered the camel ones in a size 8. I can wear both comfortably but I recommend going a half size up if you aren’t sure which size would be best for you.
Right now, these boots are $42.50. WAY TOO EXPENSIVE. Even though they look exactly like Timberlands and are less than ¼ of the price, you can get them for cheaper. Charlotte Russe is an amazing website that has daily deals, which if used properly can cut your prices in half. I bought the black boots on clearance for only $22.50 and I bought the camel ones for $25 with free shipping. I recommend signing up at Charlotte Russe as a member so that you’ll receive email updates of their daily deals. This way you’ll be able to get these knockoff Timberlands for a steal like I did.

Happy Saint Patrick’s Day :)
Today I am wearing my vintage crop sweater from Good Will along with tights to keep warm. To coordinate with the yellow in my sweater, I am wearing a tartan skirt with green, navy, and yellow stripes. I originally found the skirt as a dress on sale at jcpenney for $6, but the top half of it was horrid. To remedy this, I simply cut off everything just above the waist and now it is a cute skirt.
