Revisited a concept I had 3 years ago: twin blades Dusk and Dawn –now in sword form.

(ID under cut)

[ID: two digital paintings of twin swords, labeled Dusk and Dawn, forming a diptych.

Image 1: The sword Dusk is on the left. It is a dark blade on a cold pale grey background. The black material is flecked with blue, red, yellow, and green, creating the appearance that the sword is made of black opal. The blade itself is a flammard or serpentine blade, curving back and forth like fire. The hilt has a guard that resembles wrought iron. The pommel is a red and yellow gemstone shaped like a crescent moon.

Image 2: On the right is the sword Dawn. It is a light iridescent silver on a dark slate gray background. The material resembles a white fire opal: light yellow, orange, green, and blue flecked with white. The blade is straight but the hilt flares in the middle, making a diamond-like shape. The cross guard is adorned with a butterfly shape made of the same opal as the rest of the blade. The pommel is an opal arrowhead/bow-like shape.]

Episode 7: Kill My Wand Lore

This week we take a look at what magic wands are in WIPworld. I explain why anything could be a magic wand and you might catch a burly man casting spells with a hairbrush or a middle aged woman doing battle with a birdcage. Of course we get feedback from the community as well and hear this week’s original short story, entitled Runaways, where I put this idea into words!Listen to Kill My Darlings now! Links are in the bio or you can find it wherever you listen to podcasts.
