⚔️ Warrior Women by Yael Nathan ( @yaeln ) ⚔️

I came across these incredible images just after recording episode 1 of my podcast. They seemed to be sent by fate, depicting EXACTLY what I had just been talking about. Strong, varied, complex, capable women, of all different shapes and shades, appearing in fantasy roles usually dominated by men. So, I asked Yael if I could share them with you and she kindly said yes.

Please do yourself a favour and check out the entire collection of drawings on @ygramul instagram. I’m obsessed and will definitely be drawing inspiration from these images in my writing.

He’s also writing this post right now and frankly doesn’t know why he’s gone with third person. Hello! It’s me, Hayden Rodgers. Listen to my podcast and help me with your feedback please.

Episode 7: Kill My Wand Lore

This week we take a look at what magic wands are in WIPworld. I explain why anything could be a magic wand and you might catch a burly man casting spells with a hairbrush or a middle aged woman doing battle with a birdcage. Of course we get feedback from the community as well and hear this week’s original short story, entitled Runaways, where I put this idea into words!Listen to Kill My Darlings now! If you’ve listened to Episode 6: Kill My Cosmology, you’ll know that I drew inspiration from the Dungeon Master’s Guide from @dndwizards for my world’s cosmology. This is a drawing I made way back when that idea was actually for a campaign I was planning. You can see how that’s changed a lot now and the original idea was of course aligned a lot more with the game.
