My first drawing after the longest break from art I’ve ever had. It’s been a rough couple of months to put it lightly, and for a while I was worried I’d have to give up drawing altogether.
My worst artist nightmare came true last year, my hand gave out after all the pressure I had been going through with all the deadlines I had to meet and I’ve since gone from doctor to doctor desperately trying to fix my issue, with next to no progress.
Eventually I resorted to teaching myself to draw with my non-dominant hand, but to my dismay that hand gave out as well and I was barely able to cook or clean for myself for a long period of time. I’m still stuck with this problem and my hands hurt as I draw, but after persistent training and physical therapy it hurts now a little less. I’ve been terrified to have to give up what I love and the grief I’ve gone through has been considerably rough, so it makes me very happy to finish this drawing I started on in april 2020, one I didn’t think I would ever be able to complete. I hope you like it and I’m excited to share more of my future work again!
