[Mahoyaku Interview] How to Craft a Story that Inspires Resilience: The Wizard’s Promise— Tsushimi Bunta’s Treatise on Writing

Hello again, I’m back very briefly again to link our translation of an interview article that came out last week! Read all about the creation of Mahoyaku—including initial drafts of the characters—from the very mouth of its main writer (who is also the main writer of Idolish7), Tsushimi Bunta!

(also another reminder I’m otherwise not active here and won’t respond to messages)

Hey everyone, it’s Dani again! Just another reminder that I’m not active here (so I won’t respond to DMs!) but I’m on Twitter under the same handle. I just wanted to update here one more time now that all 21 chapters of our mahoyaku translation project is finally finished! We edited and updated previous chapters as well so this is the final version for you to enjoy! This won’t be the end though and we definitely still plan to translate all the events and side material so stay updated on our website!

If you like wizards, catboys, wizard catboys, magic, tons of good writing (by Bunta Tsushimi, the idolish7 writer!!), gap moe, found family, a wide cast of complex characters and even more complex relationships, then please check out this game! It has one hell of an ending!

Hey everyone, it’s been a while! Just another reminder, this blog is no longer active (I’m on Twitter now under the same handle) but I wanted to spread my mahoyaku translation translation project again now that we’re up to chapter 18 and have just 3 more chapters till the end!

In addition, we also have the newest event story available to read as well!

Hey everyone, it’s been a while! Just another reminder, this blog is no longer active (I’m on Twitter now under the same handle) but I wanted to spread my mahoyaku translation translation project again now that we’re up to chapter 15 and have just 6 more chapters till the end!

Hey everyone, it’s been a while! Like I’ve said before, this blog is no longer active (I’m on Twitter now under the same handle) but I wanted to spread my mahoyaku translation translation project again now that, with the release of chapter 11, the main story is officially halfway done!

In addition to the main story, my editor Minami and I have translated three location stories (Nero, Figaro, and Snow) as well as several Faust and Heathcliff character sub-stories! There’s also a game mechanics guide to help you play the game and unlock the story since this translation IS meant to be played alongside the game itself.

(also catboys. or, er, cat-like boys)

Hey everyone just wanted to update again now that I’m finally ready to release chapters 3 and 4 of the Mahoyaku English translation! The homepage has been revamped a bit to include a link to a thorough play guide too, so check it out!

(I recently paid for a domain name and removed ads too so if you could signal boost this and check out the ko-fi link at the bottom of the page I’d be really thankful!)

Hey guys, I’m no longer active here but I wanted to signal boost my personal translation translation project so more people can get into this great game! If you like magic, wizards, excellent ensemble casts, gap moe, found family, and cat(-like)boys then this game is for you!

The head writer (Bunta Tsushimi) is the same person who writes for IDOLiSH7 so you KNOW you’re in for a wild ride.

Read chapters 1 and 2 of Mahoutsukai no Yakusoku (The Wizard’s Promise) now!
