Every winter I try to push myself, brave the elements and take advantage of the surroundings and make the best of it.
I collaborated with Micayla Lawson who is a talented makeup artist based out of Scarborough. We came up with an “ICE PRINCESS” theme which has been done I’m sure 1 million times but I have never done this before and thought it would be a lot of fun.

We shot out in Cape Elizabeth, Maine for a few hours.
It was pretty cold and I could see the cold temperature was starting to get to Micayla a little….She was a trooper though!! She definitely sucked it up and we got some great images to show for it! It was definitely a win/win for the both of us!!

#tbt … in the spirit of the @atlsuperbowl53 and the fact our @patriots won!! I’m posting this picture of the cover of the 2004/2005 @patriotscheerleaders swimsuit calendar I shot! I photographed the entire calendar by myself! I would consider it one of my top ten accomplishments I’ve achieved over my 23 year career as a professional photographer! Definitely an assignment I will never forget!

As proud as I am to have photographed this calendar… I’m actually even more proud of all the money I raised for various charities with signed calendars I donated!! Over $10,000 was raised! The @patriots organization were very instrumental in helping me achieve that feat with all the calendars they sent me. I was very grateful that they believed in me and my vision.

I arrived at the beach 15 minutes before the sun came up…
I was hoping to take pictures of sea smoke but was pleasantly surprised with how cool the ocean looked frozen over…
You can see the icy barrier that formed along the beach.

Yesterday was a success!! I made a few videos and sent them to all of the news stations which were posted on their facebook pages…Between @wmtwtv and @newscentermaine the total of views are over a combined 800,000 views and to top it off.. @nbcnightlynews used a clip of my video during the weather segment which made national news!

I ventured down to the Old Orchard Beach Pier this morning hoping to capture some images of the sea smoke you only see when the temperature is 5 degrees of below…I was also hoping to catch a beautiful sunrise at the same time..
What I did capture was the water freezing at it was reaching shore.. the water would come in and turn into an icy wave of lava. It was very interesting and something I’ve never seen before.
Although I didn’t capture any sea smoke/fog.. I captured these icy waves which I am still happy about.

I did a photo shoot some time ago in Tampa, Florida with @molly_jacobson …We did a combination of looks…..Trendy, swimsuit and casual…..She was so awesome to work with and we have remained in touch ever since.
After this past month of weather and the fact my sister now lives in Florida plus the fact I have a bunch of friends there makes me want to head south for a little bit.

I’ve been working hard trying to have a nice buffer so I can afford to take off for a few weeks and possibly do some shoots down there and get some work in order for it to be a work related trip and not so much a vacation.

I used to go to Florida 2 weeks a winter and photograph fitness, glamour and fashion models. I totally miss it!
