I had a lot of request for me to draw out the students from class 1-B as pokemon so here you all go i finally finished them. some of them were a little bit difficult to find a match up for so i had help from the wonderful @sylanc who helped me with this class.

This is my first illustration for MyLethologica’s super awesome fantasy au Kendo/Ibara fic - Holding Thorns.
From my au where UA shuts down after some students are killed during the joint training camp attack.
It’s the kind of story where they start out with (basically) good intentions. But with the stress of trying to make ends meet while acting as vigilantes and staying in hiding - everything gradually falls apart and they slowly forget what they were fighting for.
Some self indulgent concepts for a semi villain-ish au taking place in a future where some students were killed during the training camp attack, UA shut down, and everyone was forced to find different career paths.
“fun” fact about Fukidashi in canon is that his home prefecture is Wakayama - aka, the same Wakayama that got attacked by Gigomachia during the PLW arc.
So that whole time we saw him out there doing rescue work (work that was making even the seasoned pro heroes want to quit) - he maybe didn’t even know whether his own family was okay.
- As we know, Manga interned with Wash during at least one of his internships.
- Wash is canonically a very popular and kid friendly hero, especially with small children. As it happens, Manga seems to have basically identical hero goals. He really likes kids, and his profile talks about wanting to make children smile.
- But also…. looking at their costumes, there’s a lot of similarity. The bulky gloves, the big chest piece shaped like fun objects, the yellow details…. They even have the exact same shade of blue as an accent on their chest!
- Finally: Wash is 29. So Manga would have been 4-5 years old when Wash first debuted - exactly the right age range to be a fan of the brand new hero most popular with preschoolers!
tldr; I think Manga probably idolized Wash since childhood - potentially to almost Midoriya-level hero-emulation degrees.
