Jumping sea bream found near Miho shrine, which is the grand head shrine of Ebisu shrines belonging to Kotoshironishi (a god for fishery and business prosperity). Sea bream is a symbol of wealth that Ebisu is always holding in his arm.
Lighthouse found by Izumo Taisha, which is known for matchmaking as well as one of the top-ranking grand shrines. The lighthouse is called Hinomisaki Lighthouse near the shrine, selected as one of “the IALA list of 100 lighthouses as historic and architectural monuments”.
Yesterday, typhoon number 26 passed Japan. It was said to be the most powerful typhoon in years. Typhoon caused several deaths and tens of people are still missing. Flooding and landslides caused a lot of damages.
Our family got through the typhoon without any damage. Trains stopped, so it was difficult to get to work. Luckily my wife got a day off. But I had to go to work. It took 3,5 hours to get to work, when it normally takes only an hour. When I got to the office, I was seven hours late.
My boss just complained to me, even though the fact I did my best to get to work, instead of having a day off.
